I rarely get a month where I have two eye palettes that I love so much; but, both of these were stand outs to me and I had to include them! I try for more variety in my favourites; but, I'm always true to what I love, even if things are similar!
Urban Decay Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette ~ $77.00 CAN. An arsenal of 20 eyeshadow shades you can use to declare your allegiance to House Targaryen, to House Lannister, or to House Stark, or to defeat the White Walkers.
I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan, so I really had to pick up this palette - the initial release pictures of the shadows didn't have my swooning immediately; but, I have to say, getting it in person I thought the shadows were beautiful. You can see all my swatches thoughts and look on my detailed review here; but, I will say this had a range of mattes, metallics, shimmers and transformer shades that were really pretty. It could use another matte or two; but, overall it's a very beautiful palette.
I knew it was going to be limited edition, but sadly this is sold out everywhere (or so it appears as the Sephora product pages have disappeared and the Urban Decay collection has it sold out), so I'm a little sad they didn't have it out for longer!
Morphe Mini Blush in Spirit ~ $8.00 CAN. Need a little blush on the go? How about a quick pop of pink? You’ve got places to go, Morphe Babe, and this small-but-mighty blush has your back. The creamy, seriously pigmented formula keeps up with you—wherever you’re headed—while the non-streaky color delivers on that super-sassy, super-flattering flush. Toss it in your makeup bag and you’re good to go.
Spirit is describes as a dusty pink sheen - I've never tried a Morphe face product formula before and I was very impressed with the formula! It's super smooth going on and I love when blush has the right amount of pigment for me - not too heavy, and I can build it up to my preference. It's a really pretty shade and all around a great blush!
Suva Beauty Saffron Palette ~ $44.00 CAN ($35.00 US). A warm tone 9 shade eyeshadow palette with luxurious formulas reminiscent of the world's most desirable spices.
Paula's Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant ~ $29.50 US. Our #1 product worldwide + cult favorite, this gentle leave-on exfoliant quickly unclogs pores, smooths wrinkles, and brightens and evens out skin tone.
This product basically saved my skin this month! I've always had hormonal acne on my chin; but, this pat month it was crazy and went way beyond hormonal and and it was super deep in the skin and I felt like nothing was helping, until I started using this! And voila, I used this every couple of evenings and my skin cleared up in a couple of days and has been maintained since. It also helped target the next round of hormonal acne before it broke - I'm so impressed with this and love that it is a super gentle formula with a lower amount of BHA. If you want to see my full thoughts on a few goodies from Paula's Choice, you can see my recent thoughts here!
Colab Paradise Invisible Dry Shampoo ~ $9.99 CAN. COLAB's Paradise fragrance Dry Shampoo gives hair an instant wow-factor with feel-good flamingo vibes and a totally tropical, coconut scent. Transport yourself to faraway shores whatever the weather!
I've tried this dry shampoo before and loved it, so when it showed up in the Spring Farley Co. box of goodies, I was very excited to try it again. And, using this again really made me like it - it's a gentle and has no white cast! It doesn't provide that crunchy, textured feel to the hair (which I don't like for my hair), but it's just a really solid formula for me. Plus, I love the tropical scent!
What were you loving in May?!
Some great products here - I love the Urban Decay palette, but it's always great stuff! Will give the dry shampoo a go too!
