September 2017 - Monthly Empties!

Let's get right in and have a look at my beauty garbage for this month and my thoughts on the products:

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer ~ travel size $26.00. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight formula with a hint of color you can use in place of foundation for a natural finish and a healthy glowing complexion.

This is my second travel size bottle of this - I didn't love it the first time around, and now I like it a little bit more. It was easily my go-to over the Summer. It is light weight and gentle on the skin, but it wasn't super long lasting. It was just ok.

Repurchase: Mmmm... probably not...

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara Mini ~ $15.00. A waterproof, intensely black, volumizing mascara with an hourglass-shaped brush that separates, coats, and curls each lash to voluptuous perfection.

This was okay - the formula itself was really good. It made my lashes nice and full. But, the formula was literally impossible to take off. My best micellar water could not remove this. My best oil cleanser could not remove this. There was always some residue still left the following morning. I mean, I appreciate a good waterproof formula, but this was too hard for me.
Repurchase: No

Dior Capture Totale Dreamskin Advanced ~ sample (full size $140.00). An iconic, instant skin perfector, now in a new, advanced formula with greater instant correction benefits and boosted radiance and blurring effects.

This can be used under foundation or on its own to enhance the skin. I was surprised that it was really pink when it came out. It did make my skin look nice and glowy - it could be easily mixed with foundation. But, for $140 it didn't make my skin look perfect.
Repurchase: Not likely..

Benefit Cosmetics Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer ~ $38.00 for full size (sample size shown here). Air patrol BB cream eyelid primer contains an EnviroDefend complex known to help guard your delicate eyelids against sun, smoke, and pollutants. It also extends the wear of eyeshadow for long-lasting colour that won’t crease, fade or smear.

This was meh... nothing super great - not for $38.00 at all. I mean it worked like a lid primer, but I didn't find it to be anything special at all.
Repurchase: No

Essence Cosmetics - Get BIG Lashes Volume Boost Waterproof Mascara ~ $3.99. Essence Get Big! Lashes Mascara. Good things may come in small packages, but bigger is always better when it comes to lashes. Available in the original and waterproof formulas, with the option of two different brushes, this mascara from Essence will make batting your lashes a breeze.

This was fine - it worked to make my lashes really full. I liked it - lasted a long time and was fairly easy to take off.
Repurchase: Yah, I probably would!

Maison Jacynthe Floral Water - Bulgarian Rose ~ $21.45 for 100 ml (pictured here). Bulgaria rose water for facial care: gently spray on our skin before the application of the serum which is thus better absorbed; if you do not have floral water, you can simply take pure water!

I love this mist soooo much - it made my Monthly Favorites in the past and I did a more detailed review here. It has such a great spritzer (nice and light and misty) and this is a big bottle that lasts quite a while! It is so gentle on the skin and keeps it clear and refreshed!
Repurchase: Yes!

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water ~ $17.00 - $46.00 (sample size shown here). A soap-free micellar water that attracts and traps dirt, oil, and makeup to gently remove impurities and cleanse your complexion without drying out the skin—since water never has to touch the face.

This was okay - I didn't find it worked super well on eye makeup and I know your just supposed to swipe over the face, but I didn't think that worked the greatest either! I found it worked better when mixed with water, lathered and applied. Not my favorite Micellar water by a long shot.
Repurchase: No

Cosrx Blackhead Silk Finger Ball ~ package of 12 for $7.67. Silk-made finger ball resembles the cocoons of silkworms and contains the natural protein ceracin that helps minimize moisture loss while providing natural and gentle exfoliation on skin. Soak the ball first in lukewarm water for up 3 minutes. Use the softened ball on fingertips and gently massage face. Wash the ball and let dry. Each ball is reusable 2-3 times but only use 1-2 times a week.

I used 2 of these and didn't think they worked great - they just didn't do much at removing my blackheads. Maybe I didn't soak them long enough before using them? They were still a little stiff but I have a few more to try so I will see if they improve.
Repurchase: The verdict is still out... but no, if they don't work better...

Lush Oatifix Fresh Face Mask ~ $9.95. Sensitive, dry or irritated faces will love this yummy mask for its blend of soothing oats, softening mashed banana and ground almonds to soften and slough away dry, flaky skin. With a rich blend of illipe butter, sandalwood oil and glycerin to lock moisture into your skin, it'll leave your face feeling soft and dewy.

I have talked about this mask a few times on here - it smells so good! Seriously, like cookies! I love it! But, this mask is actually quite thick so it isn't the easiest to smooth over the face. There was a couple of clumps that fell off, but it rinsed off easy and made my skin super soft! Overall, I like it!
Repurchase: Yup!

The Face Shop Mango Seed Silk Moisturizing Toner ~ $31.00 full size (sample shown here). Get a radiant and refined skin thanks to this innovative toner. Its bi-phase formula offers you both the benefits of its moisturizing watery phase and its softening milky phase.

This toner is separated so there is an oily layer and a watery layer - you shake it up and then I apply it. I did think that it worked well and moisturized my skin. But, I didn't like the shaking and it was messy with the packaging and it made me dislike using it.
Repurchase: No..

107 OneOSeven Core Flex Cream Essence ~ $69.00. 107 Core Flex Cream Essence will provide powerful tightening and brightening effects to the skin. It will also provide younger and healthier appearance by giving skin deep moisturizing and natural vitality. The Cream Essence is actually formulated similar to eye cream, but can be used for the whole face for lifting and anti-aging effects.

This creamy essence is nice, it applied well. But, I didn't like the smell at all! Blah!
Repurchase: Nope

Eco Beauty by La Fresh Group Good Night. Night Cream ~ sample size 15g for $12 (full size is 50g for $40). This highly natural La Fresh® Eco-Beauty® Good Night. Night Cream provides super hydration and restores your skin making it visibly smoother and plumper. It will also rescue your skin from fine wrinkles on the forehead and crow's feet around your eyes. Say bye-bye to damaging elements that age your skin and say hello to recovered, recharged, and youthful!

This was okay - I got it in a past Ipsy bag. I actually really like the day cream from this line. This worked and did the trick, but I just didn't think that this was amazing. There is much better night creams out there.
Repurchase: No

Not Soap Radio - Liquid Freud (when you need to turn up the volume on the inner voice reason) Hand and Body Lotion ~ full size $18.00 (sample size shown here). This luxe lotion is super-light and perfect for layering. You’ll experience silkier skin after application, and the non-greasy formula will make your skin healthy, wealthy and wise.

This is called emotional well being lotion - I mean it smelled good (coconut, mango and vanilla). I really liked that, but I didn't think that the lotion was amazing or that it made me feel better. It just wasn't that moisturizing overall.
Repurchase: Nah...

Bath Time Box Moon Rocks Fizzy Bath Delights ~ $6.50. Add some fun and frivolity to your bath routine! Our super foaming, delightfully Moon Rocks are the perfect accompaniment to bath time.

I got these in a past Bath Time Box and I love these moon rocks! These are super great to use - like an already broken up bath bomb. They are fizzy and smell delicious! These smell like Cotton Candy, which smells AMAZING! Yum!
Repurchase: Yes, I would!

Zoella Beauty Jelly and Gelato Pink Bath Wafers Moisturizing Bath Fizzer ~ $9.99. Bath time has never been so sweet. These fizzy bath wafers are enriched with shea butter and extracts of elderflower and pomegranate to help brighten, smooth and tone.

This Jelly & Gelato line smells so good! I really like these - I did a whole review on them here (and a few other goodies from the Zoella line!) These were a really gentle fizz and was slow releasing, plus they are so cute.
Repurchase: Ya, likely!

Ostia Cucumber Soothing Gel ~ $15.50. Soothe skin with this rich cucumber gel. It will offer a cooling and soothing relief.

There are some k-beauty products that give me a good laugh - this is one of them. I mean, who doesn't need a phallic looking cucumber lotion?! This was a gel type lotion and it actually worked really well! Was nice and hydrating - great for after the sun and hydrating the skin or great after the shower for extra moisture.
Repurchase: Yes, if I can find it!

Mitchum Clinical Soft Solid ~ $8.99. Mitchum's most advanced formula for odor and wetness protection.

Deoderant is nothing special; but, I love the clinical strength formula and this brand is my go to. I like that it is both an antiperspirant and a deoderant. It works the best!

Repurchase: Yes

Bath and Body Works Mango Dragon Fruit Gentle Foaming Hand Soap ~ $6.50.

These are always on sale for much less than this price - I like the foaming hand soap the best. And I love this scent!
Repurchase: Yes

Dove Regenerative Nourishment Shampoo ~ $6.68. Did you know it is possible to regenerate the healthy look and feel of hair damaged by these processes? We’ve created the new Dove Regenerative Nourishment range, formulated with Red Algae + Keratin NutriComplex. NEW Dove Regenerative Nourishment shampoo nourishes to regenerate even extremely dry, damaged, dull hair; to leave you with instantly stronger hair that’s also smooth and healthy looking – the perfect bad hair day fix. No matter what you want to do to be you or the style you choose, we want to free you from your concerns of damage.

This smelled really amazing! I liked it - I don't think it is the best shampoo, but I loved the smell!
Repurchase: Hmm... not sure

Dove Regenerative Nourishment Conditioner ~ $6.68. The Regenerative Nourishment range, formulated with Red Algae + Keratin NutriComplex, is a specific daily program for damaged, over-processed hair, making it smoother and stronger against breakage - as if damage never happened. This shampoo instantly nourishes hair, replenishing nutrients and reinforces inside and out, making hair stronger with less breakage.

Again, smells really great! But, not the most amazing conditioner I don't think. It was okay, it did make my hair soft but not much else.
Repurchase: Probably not..

Bath Time Box Bamboo Charcoal Soap ~ $7.50. Enhanced with natural bamboo charcoal and skin loving essential oils, and topped off with cocoa butter soap, this all natural bar is great for face and body.

I always rave about the soaps from Bath Time Box - I really like this soap! The bamboo charcoal was amazing with the cocoa butter on the skin! Loved this!
Repurchase: Yes!!

2 Handmade Bath Bombs ~ $10.00 in a set.

These came with a Valentine's set - neither one of these was very good. They didn't smell well, they didn't fizz well and I had to follow up with a different bath product to make the bath nice.

In September, I used up 23 products which is pretty good! There were a few good winners this month, but most of the products were not amazing.
