Happy Monday everyone! This week I had a little extra time to do some nail art - Galaxy Nail Art!
I have been admiring Galaxy nails and have been wanting to do my own! They were actually easier than I thought - the most involved part of the nail art is using a makeup sponge!
Here is a little how-to tutorial for Galaxy Nails:
To start use nail cleanser and base coat. Then start with 2 coats of black nail polish, and I followed up with 1 coat of glitter polish for a little dimension under the colours!
Then take a makeup sponge and rip it in to little pieces. First dip the sponge in pink and sponge on to the nail. Then sponge white polish on, followed by purple polish (you could use any colours you like - blue, silver, etc.). Then add a touch of glitter and use white polish and a nail dotting tool to add a few stars! Finish with top coat!
Here is a look at the products that I used for this week's Mani:
-Glitter polish - Ciate paint pot in "Celestial"
-Purple polish - Ciate mini in "talent scout"
-White polish - Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "White On"
-Pink polish - Ciate mini in "Cupcake Queen"
-Black polish - Wet 'n Wild Wildshine Nail Color in "Black Creme"
-Formula X nail cleanser
-Formula X base coat
-Seche Natural Matte Finish Nail Treatment (I realized late that this wasn't a top coat and finished with Formula X top coat!)
Here is another look at the Galaxy Nails:
I love how these nails turned out! Some of my favorite nail art I have done in a while!
