Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches, Makeup Look & Review!

I recently reviewed the Face Palette from the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection, and wanted to follow up right away with the Eyeshadow Palette! (for more information on the rest of the Champagne Collection and to see the face palette, you can go here!)

However, as I was finishing up writing this post, I watched Jaclyn Hill's snapchat and saw that they would no longer be selling this palette at all. It was a long story, but to make it short Becca ended up using a different factory to produce this palette than they normally do and the eyeshadow is not up to their regular standards.

I thought because there may be those of us that did purchase it, to review it anyways!

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Eyeshadow Palette ~ $48.00. The limited-edition Eye Palette includes a Champagne Pop-inspired shade for the eyes, Champagne Toast—created by Jaclyn Hill. This versatile palette of lustrous and matte shades allows you to enhance the eyes with layers of light and color.

The packaging of this collection is beautiful! This is a nice gold and has a full mirror inside.

Similar to the Face Palette, this comes with a plastic cover that has the names, but does not list them inside the palette (this is something I prefer so I know what I'm using, but it is fairly common with palettes).

This palette is a little different in the collection, as Jaclyn Hill created 1 color and that is Champagne Toast. The rest of colors were created by Becca. The shades are beautiful!

Here is a look at my swatches - these are in natural light with no primer and unedited so you can see the true color!

I will say that when I swatched the shadows I was surprised that they were a little dry compared to what I was expecting. I didn't have any Becca eyeshadows to compare it to so I wasn't sure if their eyeshadow formula was not similar to their highlighter formula which is quite soft.

Now I know that this texture is because of the new factory that worked on these palettes. There was also concerns that the eyeshadows were a little patchy - I did not see this problem at all. I thought that they went on quite well. I will not that I found them a little hard to blend (especially the lightest color Chardonnay) but I still really liked working with them!

Here is an every day look I created with the palette:

I have Chardonnay under the brow and in the inner-corner, Champagne Toast on the lid, Cordial in the crease and Cordial and Cognac mixed in the corner. I love the colors in this palette so I am happy with it!

If you did purchase the Eyeshadow palette and you are not happy with the quality of your palette you can return it!

Did you get anything from the Champagne Collection? What did you think?

  1. I ended up returning mine this morning because three of the shades are identical to the Ombre Rouge palette I have. As far as the product goes though... mine was fine enough, just not something I need, you know? Love the eyeshadow look you did!

    1. Yes I saw your initial picture and noticed it was very similar! I don't have ombre rouge so I feel totally justified in keeping mine! I love the shades!
