September 2015 - Month of Masks in Review (Mask Empties)

Time for another Month of Masks/ Mask Empties for September (with my holidays, this really only goes up to September 24 - the rest of September will be included in October!)

As most of you guys know, my Skincare Routine is very important to me - you can see my Daily and Nightly skincare routine that I follow if you are not familiar with the 10-step Korean skincare routine that I follow! You can check out my past Month of Masks here

Here is a look:

September 1
Baviphat Strawberry Toxifying Mask ~ $15 - $20. "This deep cleansing wash-off clay mask helps to tighten pores, control sebum and give relief to troubled skin. The Baviphat Strawberry Toxifying Mask contains strawberry extract (sebum control and acne prevention) and fruit acids full of Vitamin C that can help remove dead skin cells and tighten pores. Also, antoxidants help to prevent skin problems will reveal bright and clear skin while simultaneously helping to stave off the effects of ageing, such as enlarged pores as well as troubled skin problems.  Also included in the kit is a spatula for hygienic purposes."

I loooove this awesome and adorable Strawberry mask! This mask is so cute - I have featured this mask on a past Skincare Sunday post and you can see my whole review here! I like this mask, it is very deep cleaning, but is hard to rinse off. I will happily keep using this mask!

September 2
My Beauty Diary Citrus Firming Aroma Mask ~ $1.45. Functions: Firming, Rejuvenating with oil control.

I have tried a few My Beauty Diary masks before and I find that they all fit a little too big on my face. This mask was fairly drenched in essence and was almost too much as it was pouring down my chin. It did smell good and make my skin feel good - I featured it on a wine and mask wednesday and you can see a full review here! While I like this, I likely would not repurchase an of this brand's masks as they just do not fit me nicely. (I got this in a Beauteque Mask Maven bag).

September 6
Shangpree Gold Premium Modeling Mask ~ 1 mask for $10 (set of 5 for $98). Get ready for the newest trend in Korean Beauty: Modeling "Rubber" Masks. Bring the luxury of a spa directly to your home by indulging in this hydrating, anti-aging mask. Rich gold and nourishing Asian botanicals are concentrated in this rubbery skin conditioning treatment to provide long-lasting moisture retention, remove impurities, and re-energize & revitalize skin. Each session will leave you with the appearance of firmer, hydrated, and more youthful looking skin.

This mask was so cool - I have never used a rubber type mask before. I received this mask in a Peach and Lily mask. To use, you mix this in a bowl and apply to face. It dries without getting super hard and then peels off! It is so weird/cool that it kind of epitomizes k-beauty! I only used half a pack so I could stretch it out more - I really liked this! I featured it on a Skincare Sunday post that you can check out here! I like this and I am happy to keep reusing it!

September 8
Tony Moly I'm Real Tea Tree Mask Sheet - Skin Smoothing ~ $1.83 (10 for $18.33). Water type essence mask provides immediate relief for dehydrated and irritated skin, soothing and hydrating with tea tree extract to restore skin health and minimize future irritations. Moisturizing essence sinks rapidly for a long lasting and trouble soothing effect that leave skin comfortable and smooth round the clock. Low irritation sheet mask is free from parabens, talc, benzophenone, triethanolamine and tar dye.

I received this in a Beauteque Mask Maven pouch. Ugh, my skin has been feeling/looking pretty crappy all month after the wedding - I am waiting for it to improve! This mask had a decent fit but it fits weird/small around the mouth. It had the right amount of essence and made my skin feel really good - I will likely repurchase this mask.

September 9
Sephora Collection Face Mask "Lotus" ~ $8.00 per mask. Each of these masks is infused with a different active ingredient for relaxing the skin and achieving a brighter, more revitalized complexion. The fiber masks perfectly hug facial contours for better penetration of the active ingredients.

I really picked this to see if these masks were worth the $8 price tag! The Lotus Mask claims to refresh tired skin and reduce signs of strain and fatigue. This mask fit SO big, I couldn't believe it! The mask is thick and the essence felt great - it did make my skin feel great. I featured this on a Wine and Mask Wednesday and you can see the full review here. I would not repurchase this mask because it fits too big and is $8 a piece!

September 10
Lush Fresh Face Mask - Don't Look At Me ~ $13.95. Well hello, don't be shy! Smooth on this vivid blue mask and you'll want to show anyone and everyone your vibrant complexion. Ground rice gently scrubs away dry skin, murumuru butter moisturizes and zingy lemon juice tones. And if that wasn't enough, we've added organic silken tofu to soften you up in all the right ways. The stunning results will have you coming back for more of this scrubby, softening skincare goodness.

I also used this mask the night before my wedding, and it is very brightening! I love it! It has a very strong lemon scent and felt so good on the skin! I would for sure repurchase this!

September 12
Coni Beauty Orchid Whitening and Anti-Wrinkle Mask ~ $2.09. Exotic orchid and pearl extracts work on the double to refine skin texture and reduce skin darkening and age spot formation, while creating a brighter complexion.

I received this mask in a Mask Genie pouch and I really like trying new brands I have never heard of! The material on this mask was nice and thin and it came with the perfect amount of essence. It fit my face quite well which was nice and made my skin feel good! I would consider repurchasing this brand of mask again!

September 13
Joe Fresh Deep Cleansing Mask Seaweed Extract ~ $2.00 or 3 for $5.00. Nourishing seaweed penetrates pores to purify, leaving skin soft, smooth and refreshed.

Note, these masks are only available in stores to purchase, not online. I was excited when I saw that Superstore had jumped on the k-beauty bandwagon and had a few masks to choose from! I really liked this clay mask - it went on smooth, was cooling, and made my skin feel great. My only concern was that the mask was hard to get out of the package. I featured this product on a Skincare Sunday post and you can see the whole review here

September 16
The Face Shop Real Nature Mask Lemon ~ $2.00. This mask illuminates your skin and gives you a flawless complexion! Enriched with lemon extract with brightening properties, it will even out your complexion in an instant!

The Face Shop are usually my go-to masks because they are inexpensive and easy to find! I received this particular one in my Christmas in July package and was excited to try the Lemon mask because I have not tried this type yet! This fit surprisingly big for The Face Shop mask, but it did make my skin feel good after!

September 17
Hanaka Botanic Treatment Reviving Mask - Cherry Blossom + Tranexamic Acid (Whiteness) ~ $1.64 ($16.39 for 10 masks). Lock in moisture to help transform the complexion.

I LOVE Hanaka masks! They are so soft and amazing! They fit really amazing on the face and feel so good. This one was especially moisturizing and really made my skin look and feel better - these masks are an obvious repurchase!

September 18
Miss Carol Kiwi Whitening & Brightening Mask ~ $1.38 ($11 for 8) Kiwi Whitening & Brightening Mask improves dullness and uneven skin tone. The vitamin C in kiwi is twice more rich than people’s need for a day. So it is named the king of fruit. Rich in nutrition ingredients like tartaric acid and folic acid improves dull skin. Extracted from juice easily absorbed by skin. It helps to regain beautiful skin as crystal, bringing fine complexion with whiteness and gloss.

I received this in a Mask Genie pouch - so this mask sounded great in theory, but was not good! It smelled so disgusting and perfume-y it was unbelievable! Do you know what CK-one smells like? It smells just like and is so strong I couldn't even where this! I took it off in 5 minutes - I would not repurchase this at all.

September 19
Esfolio: Milk Essence Mask Sheet ~ $1.35. As a highly concentrated essence-type mask sheet, the mask pack contains Milk Protein Extract which is effective in keeping the skin clean, Also, vitamins of Chaenomeles Sinensis Fruit Extract and Portulaca Oleracea Extract help to increase skin elasticity and moisturization.

This was a nice thick mask with just the right amount of essence and it fit pretty good! The essence felt great on my skin and made my skin feel really clean and refreshed - I would buy this one again! It had no scent at all and was really good. (I got this in a Beauteque Mask Maven Bag)

September 24
The Face Shop Intense Nourishing Mascream Sheet ~ $5.00. First mask sheet with cream that feels like applying a whole jar of cream. The dense microfiber rich in cream adheres closely to the skin, providing soothing comfort. The intense-action Mascream revitalizes the look of tired skin with a nourishing cream containing peptides and quinoa. For dry and very dry skins.

This is a new mask from The Face Shop and I had to try it ASAP! The package comes full of lotion essence and I applied the extra before applying the sheet mask! The lotion is nice and cooling and the mask was soft and fit pretty decent on my face! This really made my skin very moisturized! I don't think I will spend $5 too often on 1 mask, but probably once in a while!

I have to say for September, I did not use as many masks as I wanted to! I was hoping that after the wedding life would slow down but this month has just been crazy! I also did not use nearly as many eye masks as I normally would have liked! I am hoping I can pick it up in October!
