Manicure Monday - Candy Cane Striped Nails!

Oh it's never a good start to the month when you can't get your first Mani done on time! Whoopsie - it's been a little crazy around here!

Better late than never - my inspiration for this week is: CANDYCANES!

Here are the products I used:

  • OPI Top Coat
  • Formula X Nail Cleanser & Top Coat
  • Ciate 013 "Dangerous Affair"
  • Nicole by OPI "Guys and Galaxies"
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 300 "White On"
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 460 "Wet Cement"
  • Silver nail art polish
  • Ciate "Enchanted Rose"
  • Nail Art Brush

Here are the steps I followed:
1. Paint 3 nails with 2 coats of white polish (if you don't want accent nails, paint all 5)
2. Paint 1 nail with 1 coat of grey polish & paint 1 nail with one coat of red polish - this is just for a base for your accent nails:
3. Add silver glitter over the grey nail & red glitter over the red nail - I used 2 coats of each:

4. Using the red base polish (not the glitter) and the nail art brush and paint diagonal lines across the nail well spaced apart (enough space to have a silver and white line between each red line - it took 4 per nail on mine):

5. Use the silver nail art polish (or a silver polish with a nail art brush) and add diagonal stripes next to the red stripes:

6. Clean up nails and add top coat:

And here are my Candy cane nails! I love Christmas time - all month will be festive Manicures at See the World in PINK!

    1. Thanks! I got a ton of compliments on them today! I think with the glitter and the stripes it looks extra festive! And it is not too hard to do!
