Back in 2022, I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I've been pretty good about sticking to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year!
I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!
I purchased everything, except a few my sister gifted me
Bookoutlet Order ~ $74.08 CAN. Bookoutlet had a few books on my wishlist on sale, so I picked them up - Foxglove, The Weaver and the Witch Queen, The Neverending Story, Frankenstein, Half A Soul, Mary Poppins, 84 Charing Cross Road, and Be Sure! I have only read Foxglove and loved it!
Shoppers Order ~ $8.77 CAN. I always use my Optimum points for my Shoppers orders and I love how affordable it makes everything! I picked up some neutral Maybelline Vinyls, and a Lifter Plump Gloss (I loved this - it made my Monthly Favs!)
Facebook Auction Find ~ $6.00 CAN. I loved listening to Lessons in Chemistry, so whenever I find a book I love that I don't own for a great price, I always have to add it my shelves!
Book Preorders ~ $119.95 CAN. I found May an amazing month for book releases and I had to pre-order some, I love the special designs of Five Broken Blades and Heavenbreaker, and the edges of You Can't Spell Treason Without Tea, and I just wanted the special edition of This Summer Will Be Different and then The Bridges of High Hill is one of my favourite novella series! I haven't read any yet, but will soon!
Sephora Order ~ $34.65 CAN. I was very excited when I saw the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Lowlighter - I picked up Lowkey and it's so gorgeous! Love the finish and can't wait to play with it a little more!
Book Gifts ~ $0.00 CAN. My sister mailed me some book gifts (she loved these and never keeps anything, so I lucked out) - all of these sound amazing!
For May, I spent $243.45 CAN which is creeping a little higher than my budget that I like to stick to, but am still trying to use everything that I'm bringing in!
