Okay you guys, the genre of cozy fantasy has swept me off my feet this year - I'm loving sharing my book reviews here, and I'm always excited when I get to talk about that I went in to unsure if I was going to love it or not. My newest 4.5/5 Star read is Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree - this is an adult cozy fantasy novel. (Cozy fantasy is more about characters, settings and the overall feel-good vibes a book delivers).
Our main character is an orc, Viv and she is done with the past life and hang up her weapons - she wants to settle down and open a coffee shop (something everyone around her has never heard of), but it's not something she can do alone, so she enlists a crew of fantastical characters to help her out and the create a little cafe together. Truly the characters make this book - they are lovable and adorable. The setting and baking is lovely and there is still a plot that will keep you turning the page even if it's described as "low stakes". Seriously, this is perfect to cozy up on a cold day with a coffee and a pastry! Enjoy!

Last weekend, myself and a coworker hosted our Kids Christmas Party for our work and it was a hit - we rented a bounce house and set up a cookie decorating station and we had a blast! The kids loved the bouncy house and the cookie sets we picked up from a local home baker on Facebook were great! Big hit over all!

Okay, I tried to tell myself that I wasn't going to go too crazy with the Black Friday shopping and that was a lie - I bought quite a few things, but hopefully all practical clothes I will wear! I ordered a few things from Ricki's while they were on sale - they were doing 30% sitewide! So, I picked up some blouses for work. The best item is the deep green Terry Shawl Collar Coverup - it's lovely and I've already worn it for work!
FOUR
Then I only ordered one thing from TenTree - this is the Anoba Cardigan in Jet Black and it's lovely. I've been looking for the "perfect black cardigan" for a while and finally came across it! This is the perfect weight and has a nice fit as well too. This was a little pricey even on sale, but I will get so much use out of this!
FIVE
I just finished another year of scrapbooking and I snuck this in during the 50% Blurb book sale. This is my go-to place for photo books and I'm trying to catch up on my scrapbooking, so I've been using this site for years. The best priced 12x12 photobooks and they are great quality!
