Monthly Beauty Favourites - July 2022

Here's a look at what I've been loving this past month:

Monthly Beauty Favourites - July 2022
I purchased everything in this post - this post contains affiliate links

I used to always have pick 5 products each month for my Monthly Favourites, but that is one thing I'm changing this year - whatever I'm loving, I will share whether it's 2 or 10 products!

I'm not trying too many new things this month since I've been all over the place this month and I've hardly been home, so picking a few on the go products - here's a closer look at what I've been loving this month:

Monthly Beauty Favourites - July 2022

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder in Universal (Translucent) ~ $48.00 CAN. A texture reducing, coverage boosting, blurring balm, that balances oils throughout the day while maintaining hydration.

I picked this up in June after hearing good reviews about it and I liked that it included this ingredient called Upsalite - it's meant specifically to absorbs excess sebum and sweat while maintaining hydration. As someone with combination skin, that goes oily and sweaty in the Summer, I was hoping this would work for me.

This comes in a translucent shade as well as a range of tinted shades. This is described as a universal product from a primer and setting balm, but you can use the tints as a foundation, highlighter or contour as well. This took me a little bit to get used to it and make it work for me. This really shines when it's hot in the Summer - I love this as a primer, but I mostly focus it on my t-zone and oily spots (sometimes in drier places it can look a little patchy so those with only dry skin may not enjoy this) but it actually really helps keep my skin and makeup looking normal and not like a sweaty. I've used this to set my makeup as well, but I prefer it underneath and it smooths and keeps everything looking good.

ELF Cosmetics Bite Size Face Duo in Watermelon ~ $4.00 CAN. Lightly pigmented blush-and-highlighter duos to enhance your natural glow on the go.

I've raved about these little duos before - the formula is amazing and the price can't be beat! So I picked up a couple of more during the big ELF sale and was totally wowed by this Watermelon duo. The blush is a light rosy pink shade, and the highlighter is a stunning peachy shimmery shade that almost looks a little duo-chromy. I will have swatches of these up soon on a whole ELF sale swatch post!

Heatless Hair Curlers ~ $19.99 CAN. Allows you to create the perfect waves or curls for a beautiful style - without the heat damage! The satin construction keeps your hair frizz-free and prevents breakage.

Okay, I don't have something to link since I bought this in a Facebook group - but there are all a whole bunch of heatless curlers out there from satin to silk and affordable to expensive, whatever you want! This set came with a long curler, two scrunchies and a big clip to hold everything together.

I love using these - you just wrap a piece of hair one at a time around the curlers, hold in place with the scrunchies and wear over night. The next morning, the curls just need to be brushed out and they are nice loose curls. These will last a day for me using a styling cream (my hair notoriously does not hold anything) so it's a good amount of time for me and the curls do look really pretty for the day!

Here's a little looksie at the heatless curlers on me - this was one of the first times I used them and they look better and better every time I use them. I thought they would be a little harder to sleep with and they aren't bad, so I really enjoy these!

What were you loving this past month?
