I'm a big Stars Wars fan, so I'm loooving these collabs - the Mandalorian has been so good and the packaging is so on point! Also, spoiler alert, I also loved this palette; it made my Monthly Favourites in February!
This was released in November last year and it is still available - I've personally just taken my time trying my new makeup, I'm never going to be the first review up, so why now just review after I've had the chance to use it thoroughly!
ColourPop The Mandalorian Shadow Palette ~ $16.00 US. Our exclusive The Mandalorian palette is coming in hot! Straight from Mandalore, this 9-pan palette features our signature super pigmented Pressed Powders to create the perfect smokey eye! Rich in saturated neutrals and earth toned shades with buttery matte, matte with sparkle, and shimmering molten metallic finishes, this super wearable palette is out of this world. Create the ultimate Mandalorian looks with rich, earthy shades!
This is a deep, earthy toned palette that pulls pretty grey to me - I will be honest, it's not a colour story that I'm typically drawn towards; but, yes I totally tried it because it was a Mandalorian collab. I'm really happy I ended up trying this though because I love it!
Beskar Steel ~ metallic silver
Nevarro Sand ~ matte mustard
Bantha Tracks ~ matte cool nude
Imperial Credit ~ metallic nickel
Clan of Two ~ metallic blackened teal with a green flip and mauve undertone
Tatooine Glimmer ~ metallic antique bronze
Mythosaur ~ matte soft dove grey
This is The Way ~ matte grey
Creed ~ matte chocolate with silver pinpoints
I actually think these shades have a little more dimension when swatched and applied then they look in the pan - I do think these are also very fitting to the show and the aesthetic.
ColourPop The Rescue Lux Lip Oil ~ $18.00 US. Lux Lip Oils to the rescue! We paired our favorite duo in this nourishing set. Rescue lips with super nourishing & hydrating sheer colour!
I'm trying to be better about not buying a whole collection just because it's a collaboration, but I couldn't resist this set because I actually love the Lux Lip Oil formula - it's more nourishing and gentle on the lips than a gloss, but gives a nice shiny finish and a hint of colour!
I love that they coordinate with the palettes and are named after their real names where the palettes are named after their titles! These formulas are good and these work out to $9 each, which is $1 more than the normal Lux Lip Oil formula - collabs are also priced a bit higher, so fine by me. I love the packaging and the silver on the lid of both characters!
Grogu ~ clear gloss with flecks of green, gold and silver glitter
I'm definitely more inclined to use the Din Djarin shade; but, what's nice about the clear one is that it isn't a gloss, so it doesn't leave a weird white cast, it really is just light and sheer with a hint of shimmer!
I'm really enjoying the looks I got this palette - I'm wearing the Din Djarin Lux Lip Oil in this look and I love this shade!
For the eye look, I used Bantha Tracks in the crease, Creed in the outer corner, Tatooine Glimmer on the lid and Beskar Steel in the inner corner. This is a nice and simple look, but I love how the shadows wear and it's so easy and pretty!
And, for the second look I'm wearing the Grogu Lux Lip Oil on the lips - while I prefer the Din Djarin shade, I do actually quite like this one too!
For this look, I used Nevarro Sand in the crease, This Is The Way in the outer corner, and Mythosaur to blend the two together in the lower crease. I applied Beskar Steel to the inner corner.
Overall, I'm a big fan of the ColourPop and Star Wars collabs - The Child and The Mandalorian palettes are so good and I love the Lux Lip Oils as well! Because I love their quality so much, I did also pick up the Darth Vader palette, so I'm excited to try it too!
What do you think of these collaborations?
