Happy Manicure Monday everyone - hope you all had a great weekend and are staying cool if you are in the heat wave right now!
I purchased all the polishes in this post
The #CBBxManiMonday group is switching it up a little bit this month and the theme is Allyship - June is both Pride Month and Indigenous History Month. Each week we will be sharing manis based on our allyship with these causes and sharing resources to help draw attention to, informative information or agencies in our areas that are assisting people.
I'm also taking my allyship one step farther this month, and each week along with my information and mani, I'm going to be donating $100 to a different organization each week. While I think education and information are fantastic, I also want action and support to come through!
- Holo Taco polish in Aurora Unicorn Skin
- Bundle Monster Art Club red nail art polish
- Kiss orange nail art polish
- Innisfree polish in #203 Woody
- Art Deco green nail art polish
- Charlotte Russe blue nail art polish
- Butter London ultra violet polish
- Moyra Top Coat for Nail Stamping
I also used a nail art polish for the couple of polishes that I don't have in nail art form!
This week's agency that I'm highlighting is the Centre for Sexuality - it is Calgary based sexual health agency that is a nationally recognized, community-based organization delivering programs and services that work to normalize sexuality and sexual health across the lifespan. We have been leading the way in the areas of sexuality, healthy relationships, human rights, gender identity, sexual orientation, equality and consent for more than 40 years in the Calgary community.
In addition to focusing on accepting and non-judgmental access to sexual health, they put on a Summer Camp every year, Camp FyreFly: Camp fYrefly is Canada’s only national leadership retreat for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, asexual, intersex, queer, questioning, and allied youth. The camp provides a space for youth to explore their identity, build resilience and enhance self-esteem, all while having an awesome camp experience. So, it seems important to focus on LGBTQ youth and their experiences! So, I donated to this agency this week and hope you will consider looking for agencies in your area and supporting their work with youth your communities!
To start, I applied two coats of the holo flakie polish as the base (this can be worn over a coloured polish too, but I was going for the negative space look!) Then, using the red polish, I swiped a curved diagonal line across the middle of the nail. Then, I followed along with each colour of the rainbow, finishing with the purple in the top corner. I finished with the nail art top coat!
I love how these turned out - the holo polish goes very pink in the sunlight and it's gorgeous! As always, make sure to check out Cosmetic Proof and Prairie Beauty Love to see their allyship nails too!
