Monthly Beauty Favourites - May 2021

Here's a look at what I was loving in May:

Monthly Beauty Favourites - May 2021
The Dr. Teals and Skoah were received as PR samples

This month I wasn't trying or playing with a ton of makeup, so this might be my first Favourites in a long time that doesn't have any makeup products in it!

So, my favourites this month are all skincare, body care and even an amazing nail polish in there!

Here's a closer look at the top products I used in May:

Monthly Beauty Favourites - May 2021

Holo Taco Magenta Jelly Polish ~ $14.00 US. This deep magenta polish is packed with so much linear holographic pigment that you’ll be tempted to spread it on your toast (but don’t). Ever torn between pink and purple? This is the perfect in-between shade!

This is possibly the most gorgeous shade of nail polish I've ever seen! I haven't used a holo like this before - in normal light, it's a beautiful shade, but then you put it in the sunshine and holy shit, it's stunning (listen, there is no way not to swear because otherwise I just won't capture how amazing it is!!!) It's so gorgeous - you can see it on me on a Mani Monday post here. Also, it applies well, wears for a whole week and removes easier than I expected!

Skoah +retinol concentrate ~ $55.00 CAN. Featuring skoah’s premium retinol complex at 1.5%. The product will be the ace of your routine as it also contains allantoin, vitamin c, and vitamin e!

I wrote a semi-review/first impressions of this retinol back in April after a few weeks and really enjoyed it then; but, now I've been using this for almost 2 months and I love it! (Skincare should be used regularly for about 6 weeks to get a real impression of how it works for your skin). I've tried to incorporate retinol in to my routine before and found it quite drying on my skin, so I haven't really found one that works well for me, until now! This is such a gentle formula, but still effective in targeting firmness, skin tone and clogged pores. I use this every other night now and I have noticed overall an improvement to my skin! (Also, my original post has a $10 off coupon for this product!)

Dr. Teals Melatonin Epsom Salt ~ $9.99 CAN. Relax & Unwind with Dr Teal’s Soothe & Sleep Pure Epsom Salt with Lavender Essential Oils.

Dr. Teals Melatonin Foaming Bath ~ $9.99 CAN. Dr Teal’s Foaming Bath with Melatonin transforms your bath into a rejuvenating experience with essential oils to soothe the senses and help provide relief from stress.

Okay, I wrote a blog post on both of these, so I won't go in to too much detail, but these are amazing! I have had quite a few nights of getting anxious/having a hard time falling asleep before bed and these are perfect for those nights. These are very relaxing smelling and totally help to ease me to sleep - they fill up my master bedroom with a perfectly relaxing scent, plus both formulas, the salts and bubbles, work really well and they definitely deliver on the promise to help me relax, making sleep much easier!

Lush Repeat Orange Foot Balm ~ $?.
Apply on toenails, cracked heels and dry areas. Rub in and repeat until smooth and sorted. It won't take long.

Okay, this is the second time I've done this - this was an exclusive product in the Lush Kitchen Subscription, but because I see it on the Lush UK website, so I have a feeling that it will be a mainstream soon (I did this last year with the Lush Beauty Sleep Mask and it was so well received that they made it a permanent product!) So, I think we are going to see this soon and I highly recommend it - this works so quickly and so well on my cracked heels, I couldn't believe it!

What have you been loving this month?
