The formula of the palettes is so good, so when I saw that they were releasing a Papaya palette, I knew I had to pick it up! The packaging and colour scheme are right up my alley!
But, I will tell you - this was a tricky palette to get here in Canada! First, it was only released on QVC for months and they didn't ship to Canada. Then it released on Ulta and I planned a great big order and boom - Ulta stopped shipping to Canada as well. Then I placed an order on Too Faced Cosmetic's website and after almost a month of waiting, the shipping company cancelled the order with an email saying the product didn't comply with "federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations governing product transport to your country". But since the palette was still on the website, I placed another order with expedited shipping and I finally got it!
Too Faced Papaya Pop Eye Shadow Palette ~ $42.00 CAN. Indulge in this fresh and juicy eye shadow palette full of vibrant, high-intensity shades with extreme colour payoff. Buttery-soft textures offer ultra-pigmented, one-swipe color in a bold, revolutionary formula you have to feel to believe. It's like the ultimate tropical vacation in a palette.
The Papaya Pop palette was inspired by all the rich, bright colours that occur naturally in a fresh papaya! I love the division of mattes and shimmers and I looooove the shadow colours in this palette! The coral, purple and peachy yellow are so lovely! There is even a stunning duo-chrome shadow! The Tutti Frutti line is scented like the fruits the products are inspired by and this one is smells nice and fruity!
Bikini Optional ~ pale pink satin
W'Sup Beaches ~ champagne metallic
Papaya Don't Preach ~ coral matte
Umbrella Drinks ~ rose gold duo-chrome
Ay, Papaya! ~ medium pink matte
Island Fling ~ eggplant matte
Mai Tai Me Up ~ mustard yellow matte
These are such beautiful shadows - perfect shades for Summer! I love the mix of pink, coral, yellow and purple and the duochrome is so stunning. I do think that even though the two pinks look slightly different, I think they look fairly similar on the eye and think this could have had a little more variation in the shades. For me, I like a lighter shade; however, I appreciate that isn't fully inclusive so I'm happy to use another palette for that shade.
The mattes were smooth and blendable and wore really well. The metallic shimmer shadow was super soft and the duochrome was a little more dry and glittery - it applied fine, but if you were planning on wearing this all night, I think it would benefit from a glitter glue.
For this eye look, I started with Bikini Optional as the transition shade. Then I applied Mai Tai Me Up in the upper crease, and Ay, Papaya! in the crease. Then I applied Island Fling in the outer corner and Umbrella Drinks on the lid. The lower lash line has Papaya Don't Preach and W'Sup Beaches on the inner corner. I'm really happy with how this eye look turned out!
I've been really happy with the Tutti Frutti line and this palette fit right in there. I love the formula they have for these palettes - the mattes are easy to blend and pigmented! The shimmers are soft and wear well, plus this one includes a stunning duo-chrome!
I love the colours in this palette! The pink, yellows and corals are so perfect for Summer! I have also used this palettes for really easy work looks too and it is perfect! I love that it could be both bold and light! I'm really happy with this palette!
This palette was such a task to get; but, it was definitely worth it! I'm really happy with this! What do you think of this palette?
WOW! What a hassle to get the palette but it seemed well worth it. The palette is stunning and I love the eye look you created :)
