It's been a minute since I've done a mask review here on Skincare Sunday! I'm hoping to get back in to the regular swing of things!

I purchased these masks on my own - this post contains affiliate links

I have really only thought of Ciate as a nail polish brand; but, they have been really catching my eye with their makeup and skincare releases!

And, I love an adorable mask, so no one should be surprised that I had to pick up these watermelon eye masks!

Ciate London Watermelon Burst Hydrating Eye Patches ~ $30.00 CAN for 6 sets of eye masks. Each hydro-gel patch is infused with skin-smoothing niacinamide, a boosting vitamin complex, and brightening watermelon extract. These skin superstars help to restore, revitalize, and reduce the appearance of fine lines for refreshed under eyes.

These masks are meant to brighten and smooth under the eyes - I love a hydrogel mask, so I was excited to try these out. Also, watermelon is so hot right now (please tell me you said that like Mugatu...), but seriously, my skin has been loving the watermelon products I've tried so I was drawn to these!

These masks are easy to use - wash face, dry skin, peel mask off backing film, wear for 15 - 20 minutes, remove and massage remaining essence in to skin.

These came with a really adherent backing, so they apply really nicely under the eyes and stay in place. Because they adhere really well, they don't come with a ton of essence; but, they did wear for about 15 minutes. I've used these twice and both times they wear well for the first 10 minutes and then they start to get a little irritating to my eyes. Nothing crazy in terms of irritation, but a little bit itchy and bugs my eyes as the serum absorbs in to the skin and they dry out.

I thought these were just okay - maybe a little cuter than they were effective. I did think they added a quick boost of hydration under the eyes. I did get much more in terms of benefits than that, which is a little unfortunate. I will still use these all up as they were fine, but, I'm not rushing back to the store immediately to repurchase.

  1. They look really cute, it's too bad that they didn't deliver on results.
