I received my March Owlcrate subscription and this month's theme is "Music of the Night". Each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and comes with a note from the author as well - they often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun!
This month the items included in the box are:
- The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu ~ this is Marie's vision of Mozart and his sister, described as "about a musical prodigy and the dangerous lengths she'll go to make history remember her". It doesn't sound like a typical book that I would pick up, but I really do like Marie Lu's writing, so I'm intrigued to read this! This book is signed, has a unique covers, and sprayed edges - it also has a letter from Marie Lu!
- Wireless Speaker ~ this is a cute little portable wireless bluetooth speaker and it's really cute with the Owlcrate symbol on the front of it!
- Book Plates ~ these are meant to have your name written on them and stuck in a book, so your name is written in the books! These are inspired by Harry Potter!
- Enamel Pin ~ this enamel pin was designed by Fable and Black and it's inspired by the beautiful cover of The Kingdom of Back!
- Lip Scrub ~ this is a cute little Twilight inspired lib scrub called Bella's Lullaby Lip Scrub by Fairytale Bath Company and it will leave your lips super smooth!
- Candle ~ this is inspired by Wintersong, and is a candle by Flick The Wick - this is called Goblin's Grove and the scent notes are Winterberries, Peach, Yuzu, Pear and Fresh Air. It smells amazing!
- Wooden Art Print ~ this is designed by Emilee Rudd and was inspired by Monsters of Verity - it says "Sing You A Song and Steal Your Soul".
- Poster Print ~ this is a beautiful print inspired by The Phantom of the Opera and illustrated by Anne Lambelet and it's very pretty!
- Owlcrate Socks ~ these were added on as an extra little thank you gift for their 5th anniversary box!
If you are interested in signing up, Owlcrate is $29.99 US per month, plus shipping ($7.99 to the US, $9.99 to Canada, and $19.99 worldwide).
I know that this is a little expensive with conversion, but I'm a bookworm and I've really been loving the products they send and love some of the exclusive items they include. I did order a 3 month subscription as a birthday gift to myself, but I'm not really ready to give up this subscription just yet, but I will probably just subscribe on a monthly basis as I see how they sound to me!
TWO
I just got my March 2020 Scratch Monthly Mani Kit and as always, it is super cute! This is an easy, affordable subscription that features nail wraps from GoScrachIt that are exclusive to the kit each month and designed by NinaNailedIt!
The Scratch Monthly Mani Kit is $18.00 US monthly with free shipping everywhere! Each month you get an exclusive set of wraps that aren't available for purchase and a few extra little mani goodies!

This month's subscription came with:
- Aloha nail wraps

I have to say, these nail wraps are easily my favourite nail wraps to use - I have tried quite a few wraps and nothing compares! You can see past reviews and nail looks on Scratch wraps here if you are interested! These ones are really pretty!

I'm so excited - I finally got my Clionadh Cosmetics order in! I ordered some shadows from the Stained Glass collection back in January when they had a restock sale and introduced some new shadows in the line as well! I picked up a shadow from each different stained glass lines and I am so excited to start playing these! (You can expect a post soon about them!)
FOUR
How are you guys managing social distancing?! We are trying to do a whole bunch indoor kids activities - crafts, games, ect.
But, we are also trying to support local companies! If you follow along my instagram, I have a few different highlights including local YYC love, free shipping, etc so check them out. We have been supporting local food places as well as we got some wine delivered from a new Calgary winery, City and Country Winery. I know that not everyone can do this, so while I'm in a financial situation to support these companies, I really want to do my part!
FIVE
And, here is a look at my usually monthly declutter - I got rid of a couple eyeshadow palettes that I just didn't reach for at all. A couple of Wet n Wild quads, the Dominique Cosmetics Celestial Thunder palette, and the Winky Lux Kitten palette - these are all so pretty, but I just don't reach for them. Also, I don't really use stick scrubs, so I'm going to pass this on and this Vichy foundation is a couple of years old now, so it is time to go!
I hope you all have a great (and quiet) weekend!
