Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches, Makeup Look and Review!

I'm not shy about talking about my love of mini sized eyeshadows palettes here - I seriously loooove them! I'm personally never going to use up an eyeshadow palette (I buy a few too many of them), so to me, these mini palettes are the perfect way to try more brands and shades!

Natasha Denona is a luxury brand that has been on my wish-list for quite a while; but, her products are pretty pricey, so I have been biding my time waiting to try them! I was so excited when I saw that Natasha Denona was releasing a mini palette that I bought it on the day it was released!

Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette - Swatches, Makeup Look and Review!

Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Eyeshadow Palette ~ $30.00 CAN/$25.00 US. This palette gives you the range to create a whole eye look with two shimmering metallics, two versatile mattes, and one sparkling foiled shade. Its compact size makes it perfect for travel. The warm, glowing collection of light to dark shades makes it an absolute must-have for every sunset lover.

Natasha already has a full sized Sunset palette (it will set you back $162.00); but, this mini palette has 5 brand new shades in it, so if you wanted a little to-go size of the Sunset palette, you wouldn't be duplicating the shadows!  This is the same design as her typical 5 pan palettes, just on a smaller scale!

I happen to love the shades in this palette - the shadows are stunning! This palette comes with 2 matte shadows, 2 metallics and 1 foiled shadow! Also, for a mini palette, the size of the shadows are actually quite big (0.8 g) - I do think regular Natasha shadows are quite big, so these may look small in comparison to that if you are used to them; but, in comparison to a normal eyeshadow palette size, these compare well! (I personally have spent the same price on a mini Tarte and Too Faced palettes, so to try a luxury brand at this price was a must for me!)

Guava ~ dirty peach matte
Apollo bright brick metallic
Dirty Mars dirty terra-cotta matte
Sun Beam rich bronze metallic
Halo warm champagne metallic

I think these shadows are gorgeous! I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on these shadows and I come in to this without ever trying the Natasha Denona formula, so I cannot compare this to past palettes.

I thought the mattes were super smooth and soft - they didn't swatch amazingly; but, they applied to the eye really nicely. I thought they blended well and applied smoothly. Guava is just such a stunning crease shade - I love it. The metallics were soft as well; but, Sun Beam was a touch different in texture (I assume that's why it's also called a foiled shadow). Sun Beam was a little chunkier and looser to use. I did think they all applied beautifully to eyes - and had an even bigger impact when applied with a damp brush or fingers!

For this look, I have Guava through the crease, Dirty Mars slightly deepened up the out crease (I mostly covered this up!), and the lid has the 3 metallics on from lightest to darkest - Halo, Sun Beam and Apollo.

The swatches were not on an eye primer; but, for this eye look I did use the Lorac Behind The Scenes Eyeshadow Primer for this look!

I love how this shadow applied and wore - this wore well for a whole night out and I got so many compliments on my eyeshadow! This is easily a go-to look for me and I love these shadows. Mini palettes aren't the most versatile; but, I absolutely love that I can pick this up and know I can make a stunning eye look every time!

Overall, I love this palette! The shadows are gorgeous and perfect for Spring! I was surprised by the mixed reviews and thought it preformed really well on me! I also think it's such a great price point to try Natasha Denona shadows! (Don't forget that Sephora VIB sale is coming up soon and that would be a great time to pick this up if you have been curious about this palette!) I will personally be using this for plenty of Spring and Summer sunset eye shadow looks!
