Skincare Sunday - Cetaphil Cleanser and Lotion Review + GIVEAWAY!

Happy Skincare Sunday everyone!

Skincare Sunday - Cetaphil Cleanser and Lotion Review + GIVEAWAY!

I'm very excited to review a couple products from Cetaphil and they have kindly offered to give one lucky Canadian reader a personalized skincare regime - very exciting! All the details for the giveaway will be at the end of the post.

For now, here is a look at the personalized set that I received from Cetaphil:
Skincare Sunday - Cetaphil Cleanser and Lotion Review + GIVEAWAY!

I described my skin as combination that leans dry but with t-zone oiliness, and hormonal acne outbreaks. Also, I did mention that I am particular about my facial moisturizers and tend not to like moisturizers with SPF as I prefer it in another step! So, they selected for me the Oily Skin Cleanser and DailyAdvance Hydrating Lotion.

Skincare Sunday - Cetaphil Cleanser and Lotion Review + GIVEAWAY!

Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser ~ $17.99. Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser is a gentle, foaming cleanser that removes 99% of excess oil, dirt and makeup without stripping or drying your skin. Formulated for teenagers and adults with oily, combination or acne-prone skin. It rinses clean without leaving any residue that can irritate your skin. It is pH balanced, non-comedogenic and ideal for morning and evening facial cleansing.

I have actually always considered my skin to by on the dry side; but, with this most recent pregnancy (and now post baby), my skin has really changed. I would consider it true combination skin with oily parts as well as dry sections! So, while I would never have reached for an oily skin product, I was happy to see how this worked for my skin!

This is a true liquid cleanser and it foams up slightly. I personally prefer a liquid cleanser as part of my morning skincare routine (generally night time involves an oil cleanser followed by a foaming cleanser. This worked well on my skin - my face felt clean after using it, but it wasn't drying at all. No breakouts at all. I actually got my pre-teenage son to use this too and it has been working well for his skin type too (which is oily/acne prone).

Skincare Sunday - Cetaphil Cleanser and Lotion Review + GIVEAWAY!

Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion ~ $14.29. Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion is a luxurious, creamy lotion formulated with shea butter to instantly replenish, hydrate and protect dry, sensitive skin. Formulated with a unique combination of five key ingredients for intense moisturization, lasting for 24 hours.  This lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer absorbs easily and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

This is a really thick, hydrating lotion - it smells really gentle (I believe it is unscented, but it just smells very faintly). The shea butter is so moisturizing and rich on the skin. It took a little while to fully absorb in to the skin. It was great!

Now time to win a customized skincare set from Cetaphil! You may not get the same 2 products as I did - they will send you 2 products based on a few questions! There is a couple of rules to follow first:

  8. My biggest concern is that I have eczema and used to have a bad spot on my face (that has since gone away thankfully) and the only thing that didn't irritate it was Cetaphil. I've never actually tried the daily advanced lotion though. Only the one that comes in a giant tub.
