October 2017 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Review and Swatches!

So over the past couple of months I have been trying to do full face try ons with my Boxycharm; but, I didn't think there was enough makeup products this month to do a full try on! So, I only swatched the products this month - I hope that's okay!

Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box for $21.00 a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items.

This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe sample every once in a while.

Every subscriber generally receives the same products, but their is usually 1 or 2 items that have a few variations, so our boxes may not be identical!

Here is a look at my October Boxycharm:

October Boxycharm - Unboxing, Review and Swatches!

This month's monthly "theme" is Spellbound and Boxycharm always includes a detailed product card to explain the products you received!

Here is a closer look at the products I received:
October Boxycharm - Unboxing, Review and Swatches!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in "Prosecco Pop" ~ $46.00 CAN. A bestselling, creamy, highlighter powder to light up your best features with a high-shine finish.

I can't believe there is a full sized Becca highlighter in this subscription box!!! So exciting! If I wanted to buy this alone, it is more expensive than the whole box! Prosecco Pop is described as a warm gold and it is the second shade Becca made with Jaclyn Hill. I actually have this in the Jaclyn Hill face palette.

So, I don't usually hope for different product in Boxycharm, but I did see that each subscriber would receive Prosecco Pop in this pressed formula, or a liquid formula - I was only wishing for the liquid highlighter because I don't have it yet! But, I am going to save this (I swatched my own) and either pass this on to a friend or save it for a giveaway!

October Boxycharm - Unboxing, Review and Swatches!

Dr. Brandt Skincare PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator ~ $68.00 CAN. An exfoliator featuring physical and chemical exfoliation with pore perfecting ingredients to cleanse deeply and refine pores.

Dr. Brandt is expensive!! Boxycharm costs me just over $30 per month ($26 US plus the Canadian exchange) and seriously this is double that cost if I wanted to go buy this on it's own! Boxycharm always blows me away with value! I've heard great things about this and I will get to eventually - my skincare stash is almost embarrassing how how is in there! And, I only exfoliate once every 2 weeks so this isn't a product I am going through super fast!

NCLA "Nailed it" Tool Kit ~ $18.00 US. This five piece set instantly freshens up your manicure no matter where you are.

I'm a big fan of NCLA nail polish and i'm actually quite excited about this! I do my nails all the time but I rarely buy myself new manicure tools. This 5 set comes with: clippers, nail file, v-shaped push stick, rounded push stick and beauty scissors. Handy little set!

Tarte Tarteist Quick Matte Paint in "Homeslice" ~ $24.00 CAN. A quick-dry, full-coverage, transfer-proof liquid lipstick.

Homeslice is described as a peachy nude and i'm really happy with the shade I received - I think each subscriber is getting a matte paint, but there is 6 different shades. This is beautiful and really wearable for me!

Jonteblu Lip Liner Pencil in "Brown Sugar" ~ $5.00 US. The creamy, highly pigmented formula glides on effortlessly. Can be used for flawless lip contouring, worn alone, or as a long-lasting base for any lip color.

This is a brand I haven't heard of before; but, it seems affordable at $5 for a lip liner! This is quite a dark shade for what I normally wear and it is a little stiff for my preference. I may pass this on.

Boxycharm came with 5 full sized items with a total value of $161.00. I seriously can't rave about the value of this box enough; I don't know how they do it! This subscription came with a great variety of products and a very different variety than past months! I LOVE that there was full sized Becca and Tarte in this box!
