Nail Time - happy Manicure Tuesday!!! So sad story, last week I snapped one of my nails off (wahhhh.... seriously right in half, bleeding and everything - it was so sad!) So sadly, I had to cut off my nails! It is hard to think of nail art for short nails, but I have been color blocking lately!
I'm loving Periwinkle shades right now, so I am loving this Spring color combination!
Here is a look at the products that I used for this week's Mani:
-Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat
-Ceramic Glaze polish "petal pusher"(periwinkle)
-ORLY nail polish "cake pop" (light pink)
-Ceramic Glaze polish "surf's up" (teal green)
-Formula X nail cleanser and base coat (not pictured)
To start this Manicure, nail cleanser and base coat followed by 2 coats of base polish - I used the periwinkle for my base. Let your base polish dry well before applying more shades!
Initially, for the geometric lines I was planning on using nail vinyls straight stickers to get very distinct lines and making the painting easier, but they were not adhering to my nails at all. So I went with my back up plan and hand-painted lines! Use 1 shade and paint a diagonal line across the nail and file in with one or two quick coats to make the shade opaque. Again let dry well, and repeat with the 3rd colour and a line in the opposite direction!
Finish with a top coat!
I can say, this part was a little messy because you want to cover the sides - I should have used some liquid palisade along the edges of my nails!
Please ignore my teeny tiny broken nail! I chose to do 2 accent nails, but you can of course do as many as you like! Overall, I love how this fun Spring look turned out!

The broken nail isn't even that noticeable! I wouldn't have known if I hadn't seen the broken nail picture lol. Cute design! The colours are so pretty together!
