I love when Mother's Day comes around - I am both a daughter and a mother, so I get the best of both worlds on this day!
Personally, Mother's Day isn't just about presents - it is about appreciating your Mom and taking the time to thank her for everything she has done for you! (I have a step-mom and Grandmas too that I always remember to do something special for, or if they are out of town I make sure to call and send all of my love!)
On that note, I do love giving gifts for Mother's Day - I know my Mom personally does not take enough time to treat herself so she deserves a little something! Here are some suggestions for a great Mother's Day gift:
1. Treat Mom To a Pedicure (or their favorite spa treatment)
This is probably my Mom's favorite spa treatment and she never just treats herself to one! I always get myself one too and make a lunch date and spa day out of it! It is the perfect way to treat her and to spend some quality time together!
2. Find a Subscription Box Suited To Her Taste
Everyone has their own individual tastes, but the box I would recommend most for Mother's Day would be Bath Time Box - pictured here is the March 2016 box. They are $29 with free shipping and you are supporting an awesome Alberta company. You receive 5 bath time products each month - in past boxes we have received soaps, bath bombs, scrubs, bath oils, skincare products, candles. The best part is everything is natural and handmade products! This is a great indulgent gift to remind Mom to take time for herself and relax! (you can check out my past reviews here to see what I received in past boxes)
If bath products might not be up her alley, there are subscription boxes for everything out there - makeup, healthy snacks, lifestyle boxes, hobbies, etc.
3. A New Fragrance
Demeter Fragrances has released The Orchid Collection that includes 2 limited edition sets for Mother's Day. The Orchid Collection is 5 scents of unique and beautiful orchids! These scents can all be mixed or worn alone! These scents are absolutely gorgeous!
The first set includes 3, 1 oz. orchid fragrances: Twilight - warm, spicy, sultry and perfect for a night out; To Yo Ran - light, lemony, and great for layering; and, Aphrodite's Slipper - cinnamon, clove, and great for daytime. This set is $35.00.
The 2nd set includes 5, 3ml. orchid scents in easy, on-the-go sizes! These are great for in Mom's purse and also comes with a key-chain ring. This set comes with all 5 scents from the collection and is only $10!
4. Luxe Gift Sets
I love the idea of gifts baskets and sets - you can either buy a pre-made basket or make your own! Personally for myself, I love to receive Lush gift baskets. They come in a variety of price ranges with varying amount of products and they have special releases just for Mother's Day (hello, Yummy Mummy scent!)
Again, if bath products aren't David's Tea has a really great selection of cute products for Mother's Day.
For my Mom, I prefer to make a gift basket for her - my Mom loves a good red wine so I usually do that with a few little treats in there for her!
5. Fresh Flowers
One of my favorite gifts to give and receive are fresh flowers - either in a bouquet or a potted plant! Nothing brightens up a room quite like a bouquet of fresh flowers and potted plants are great for something a little longer lasting!
Honestly, the best part about flowers is the price range - you either spend a lot a an expensive flower shop for some beautiful, rare flowers, or these tulips were only $3 from my local Sobeys!
Do you have any Mother's presents you love to give?

I love gift guides - now to share your next gift guide with my husband. Its a super busy time right now with my daughter playing competitive soccer and my husband coaching my son's baseball team - we are on the go most every day - I pre-ordered my own Mother's day gift - a beautiful Southhill Charms Locket. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea too! hehe... I will send it to him next time!
