February 2015 Lip Monthly - Beauty Bag Review

Lip Monthly is an inexpensive beauty box subscription focusing on lip products. It costs $10 a month + $3 shipping to Canada.

Lip Monthly describes their boxes as:
For only $10/month, Lip Monthly helps you discover the best lip products on the market. Every month we’ll send you a unique box straight to your door and help you discover the best of Lip Glosses, Lip Sticks, Lip Balms, Lip Stains and much more.

Here is a look at the February 2015 Lip Monthly:

The bag also comes with a product card describing the theme and the products in the month's bag:

Let's take a closer look at the 4 full sized products:

Cargo Cosmetics Eye Shadow in "Green Bay" ~$16. Cargo Eye Shadow singles are packaged in our signature tin. This soft and velvety formula has a smooth feel and delivers a long-lasting, even application. Rich pigments adhere to skin to give long wearing, saturated color.
It's also recommended this could be used wet or dry as an eyeliner too. I like that for a lip subscription, Lip Monthly also includes one other make-up product, but this green is not my color!

Jelly Pong Pong Supermodel Stain - Lip & Cheek Pomade ~ $25. An air-whipped multitasking creamy pomade that blends seamlessly onto your lips & cheeks for 12 hours of long-lasting wear. Powered by a vegetable-derived Ceramide Complex to help keep skin moisturized & enhance skin elasticity, and Wild Rose Wax which helps heal chapped & dry lips.
I like that this is a new product on their website (Jelly Pong Pong is owned by So Susan, so their packaging is very similar!) - and I like the idea of 4 colors and for cheeks and lips, it's very multipurpose! I'm just not sure that I would use this so I'm debating between passing them on or trying them out! I will most likely try them out!

Be a Bombshell Lipgloss in "Hooked" ~ $14. A lip gloss formula that offers long lasting color and high shine.
Hooked is described as a dark mauve with a light shimmer. I have actually heard good things about the formula of these glosses - so I will give this one a shot, even though darker lips are a little out of my comfort zone!

So Susan Lip Dome Plumping Lip Tint in "Black Currant" ~ $10. A luscious, long-wearing hybrid between a rich stain and a hydrating balm, our Lip Dome strikes the perfect balance between non-drying, pigmented colour and cushiony-soft, full lips.
I have enjoyed the So Susan cosmetics that I have received in the past, so I was excited to try this one! Here is a look:

It actually went on a lot lighter than I expected; but, it didn't last long:

Broken - right as I was using it! By the time I rescued it from the sink and attempted to fix it,  there was nothing to be done! But, I can say I didn't notice any plumping on my lips!

So for $13 to Canada, I received 4 products (all full size!) with a total value of $65. This bag came with a great value for the price! While not all the products were great for me personally, I thought this was a good bag. It is big improvement over last month - hopefully this is a good sign for Lip Monthly!
