February 2015 Topbox Review - Canadian Beauty Subscription

TopBox is a Canadian Beauty Box Subscription - for $12 CDN a month with free shipping (I pay $12.60 each month with tax), you will receive 4 deluxe sample size or full size products. You fill out a beauty profile and generally receive products based on what you have identified in the profile. Also, every month you have the option to wish for a "prive" box. A prive box is a box that focuses on one brand or product for the whole box.

TopBox is a Canadian company and only ships to Canada. The only downside to subscribing to TopBox is that there is a wait-list that can take a month or two to get off of.

For February, I "wished" for the Benefit Prive box - they are going to include a new product and a not yet released product! A "wish" for a prive box is not a guarantee you will get it!

Here is my February TopBox:

I usually ask for a bag, so a tube makes me think I got the Benefit Prive Box!

Let's see:

Yay! Benefit Prive Box! Here is a look at the products inside:

The new, un-released product is a mascara! Here is a closer look at the 4 products inside:

Benefit Puff Off! ~ sample size 0.08oz for $8.24 (full size 0.34 for $35). This innovative undereye gel minimizes the appearance of puffiness and creases around the eye, creating a “satiny smooth” look. It’s designed with a custom “ironing” tip, which works to instantly smooth the look of puffiness and fine lines.
This is a new eye gel - meant to focus on puffiness of under eye circles. the full size comes with a metal "iron" looking tip, the sample size does not but I would most likely not use a metal applicator any ways!

Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream ~ sample size 0.1 oz for $8 (full size is 0.5 oz for $40). Your eyes can't keep a secret—they're the first to show signs of age and stress. It's Potent! Eye Cream fades dark circles and helps smooth the appearance of fine lines for brighter, younger-looking eyes. It contains a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity and firmness, along with a blend of hydrating botanical extracts and loquat extract, known to help protect the skin from free radical damage.
So two eye creams in one box is a little weird, but I'm okay with it - I think this is more of a nighttime eye cream and the Puff Off will be better for day use - I will use both of them!

Benefit The POREfessional ~ sample size 0.1 oz for $4.93 (full size is 0.75 oz for $37). Quickly minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines and help makeup stay put with this priming phenomenon. The silky and lightweight formula can be worn under makeup to create a smoother-than-smooth canvas or used throughout the day to mattify shine and touch up problem areas. It’s so translucent, no one will know you’re wearing anything!
I have received this is a past box and I like it - my only complaint is that it is quite a small sample size, but a little does go a long way with this product so hopefully it lasts a few times!

Benefit Roller Lash ~ sample size 0.1 oz for $9.67 (full size is 0.3 oz for $29). Benefit Roller Lash Mascara lets you create ultra-long, full lashes to achieve your best wide-eyed and gorgeous lash look. With a brush that’s designed to grab and lift lashes for a super-curling effect, it’s perfect for all types—including short and straight lashes.
This product isn't for release until February 27, 2015 - so I like getting products prior to their release! This is designed to be lifting and curling; here is a look at the brush:

I'm not a huge fan of the plastic type brush, I find the bristles a little to hard for my liking, but I will always try a new product!
Here is before and after photos (3 coats of mascara, no touch-ups!):

I found my lashes were a little spidery after 3 coats so they did need to be separated after application. I did think it delivered for length and curl factor - my lashes looked more dramatic after! I prefer this over the I'm Real mascara!

so, my Topbox came with 4 products (all sample size) and a total value of $30.84. This is a good value and I am happy with the products; but, I would have preferred a different product rather than 2 eye creams!

What did you think of the February Topbox?
