So, I decided to carry the Valentine's theme to my Monthly Pedicure!
Here are the products I used:
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear #300 "White On" (white polish)
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear #320 "Fuchsia Power" (pink polish)
- Rainbow Honey "Lemon Sorbet" (glitter polish)
- dotting tools
- un-pictured: Formula X Nail Cleanser, Base Coat & OPI Top Coat
Here are the steps I followed:
1. Nail cleanser and base coat
2. 2 coats of base color on every toe - I used pink as my base color and will use white for the hearts!
3. Use a dotting tool and a toothpick - create a heart!
4. Add as many or as few hearts as you like - I filled up my big toes!!
5. Let dry well and a light coat of glitter just for a little shimmer!
6. Top Coat!
Again, here are my final results:
And, now for Manicure Monday! I didn't want to go too crazy with the hearts on my nails yet (there is still a couple more weeks before Valentines!) so I decided to do some freehand nail art - triangles!
Here are the products I used:
- Formula X Nail cleanser and base coat
- OPI Top Coat
- Nails Inc "Colville Mews" (nude polish)
- Nails Inc "Camden Road" (glitter polish)
- Nails Inc "Kensigntion High Street" (pink polish)
- nail art brush
Here are the steps that I followed:
1. Nail cleanser & Base Coat
2. 2 coats of base polish - I did 4 nude and my ring finger accented with pink polish
3. using the pink polish and nail art brush - create 2 lines to form a triangle (this could also be done using nail stickers but freehand may be quicker!)
4. Using the nail art brush - fill in the triangle!
5. Repeat on as many nails as you please - I created triangles on my pointer, middle and pinky fingers (this left 2 accent nails - thumb in nude and ring in pink!):
6. Using the glitter polish, add some accents!
7. For an extra touch, use the nail art brush and pink polish to create some extra touches around the triangles. Again, my final result:
What did you do for this week's Manicure Monday?
