December 2014 - Glossybox Beauty Box Review

Glossybox is newly shipping to Canada! November 2014 was their first month! Glossybox has been operating in the U.S. for some time now, so it was exciting to see them come to Canada!

Glossybox is a beauty sample subscription box that sends you 5 deluxe size samples of luxury beauty products. The cost is $21 a month + plus $5 shipping to Canada. You save money if you sign up for a longer subscription: $60 for 3 months, $115 for 6 months, and $220 for 12 months + $5 shipping per month. They send you high-end, niche and trendy beauty products in each box.

Glossybox ships the 3rd week of the month so arrives in Canada usually at the start of the next month. I am not a huge fan of late shipping because I don't like getting December boxes in January!

Here is a look at the December 2014 Glossybox:

Here is a closer look at the products inside:

Toni & Guy Prep Leave in Conditioner ~ full size 3.3 oz for $16.99. For the perfect pre-styling foundation, protect and prime strands with this leave-in conditioner. Inspired by hair stylists' needs and created for all-day nourishment, this winter-combating formula helps tame frizz and improve manageability.
To use: comb a nickel-sized amount through hair before air-drying or heat styling. Meant for frizz control. I don't generally use leave-in conditioner because I find it too heavy for my fine hair. I may give this a try to see if it is lighter!

Rituals Cosmetics Miracle Scrub in Gingseng & Ginkgo Biloba ~ full size 2.5 oz for $17. Apparently this scrub leaves you with "the softest hands possible".
I haven't really ever used just a hand scrub - I can't say it would be a product I would buy for myself but I will use it now that I have it!! My hands are extra dry in the winter so this is a good time for this product!

Nuxe Masque Crème Fraîche de Beauté ~ full size $32. A source of well-being and immediate freshness, this moisturizing mask with Plant Milks and White Blossom provides intensive moisturization for even the driest of skin. A rescue treatment, it provides intensive relief, instantly soothing skin discomfort. Hydrates and soothes for 24 hours, leaving skin radiant.
To apply: you apply a generous amount to face and eye area and allow to soak in. After 10 minutes, massage the unabsorbed product deeper in to skin! This product is highly review and I am excited to try this!

Ciate Mini Paint Pot in "Yule Rules" ~ mini pot size $10. this sparkling turquoise will turn your mani from day-time to party time in one stroke.
I love Ciate nail polish - this is a great glitter too! I luckily do not have this color (I have gotten the ciate advent calendar for the last 2 years!).

Bellapierre cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in "Burlesque" ~ full size $19.99. The perfect pairing for your little black dress can be found in this little black tube. Formulated with mineral pigments, iron oxides and antioxidants, this silky, 100% natural bright fuschia shade will last for hours, and is formulated without any of the bad stuff.
Holy moly - this is a super bright pink lipstick!! This is too bright for me - I am going to pass this on!

The December 2014 Glossybox came with 5 items (all full size) with a value of $95.98. This was a great value and I am generally please with most of the products! I think $21 + shipping each month is a little too much for me, but I think I will keep it up every few months as it comes with a great value!
