I'm so excited for warm weather and Summer makeup looks! I've never tried Keys Soulcare, but the line was created by Alicia Keys with the focus really being on caring for your skin and your soul, so every makeup product they do is going to be lighter with a skincare focus (which sounds perfect for anytime of year, but especially Summer time when my makeup is more minimal!)
The packaging is gorgeous and I love the branding - each product has a little affirmation on it that you can say to yourself as you are applying it!
Here's a look at the products I tried out:
Keys Soulcare It's Like Skin 2-in-1 Concealer and Tint in 150N Light with Neutral Beige Undertone ~ $36.00 CAN. A multi-tasking spot concealer and allover skin tint that brightens, blurs and provides buildable, light-to-medium coverage with a naturally radiant finish.
This is such a great multi use product - a true light to medium coverage face product! I like to use a few dots of this all over and just blend it in with my hands, then if I have anything scars or acne I need to cover up I can just dot this on to them and use a brush for a little more coverage.
Here's a look at the shade on me - this comes in a shade range of 40 and goes from very light to dark with all undertones considered. As it is lighter coverage, it stretches quite a ways as well!
And here is 150N applied on my skin just in the way that I like to apply it, by hand and then spot concealed. I love the finish this gives and it still does wear all day even as a light coverage product! It wears really nicely and feels truly like a skin forward base product!
Keys Soulcare Soft Stay Clear Brow Gel ~ $25.00 CAN. A clear eyebrow gel that grooms, smooths and defines to create a natural look with a soft-hold finish.
This is a nice, clear brow gel - it offers a pretty good hold and perfect for that fluffy Summer brow, especially on days I don't want to fill them in!
Here's a look at the brow gel on me - it fluffs up just the right amount and does help fill out a few places that I would otherwise have to cover up. It held all day and wore nicely!
Keys Soulcare Sheer Flush Blush Cheek Tint With Sunflower Seed Oil ~ $35.00 CAN. A blendable, buildable cheek tint that nourishes and moisturizes while delivering a natural-looking pop of color.
This is a super creamy formula - instantly melts and applies lighter as a tint than a full coverage cream blush. It's a buildable and I love that - especially for Summer when we jusy need a light hint of colour on the cheeks! Given it's a lighter formula, it isn't as long wearing as some other formulas, it does still wear really nicely!
The shades I have swatched here are:
Magnetic ~ bright tangerine orange
Undeniable ~ deep warm wine
This shade range is good too - from light pink to bright orange to rich berry! They are beautiful.
Here's a look at the shade Magnetic on the cheek - much lighter on the skin than in the package, but could be built up to as bright as you like!
Keys Soulcare Comforting Tinted Lip Balm With Avocado Oil in Manifestation ~ $29.00 CAN. A silky tinted lip balm that smooths and softens while accentuating lips with a sheer wash of color.
It's no secret around here that a tinted lip balm is my favourite type of lip product, so it's great to have one to try out! I love how bright these are and the formula is super nourishing - it's glides on really gently and leaves just a hint of colour on the lips!
Here's a look at the shade Manifestation - it is described as a "sheer bright coral" and you can see the difference of the transparency in the swatch! It's such a pretty shade for Summer time!
And, here's a look at the shade Manifestation on the lips - just adds a really pretty shiny finish, while nourishing the lips and giving just a hint of colour!
