ONE
I purchased everything in this post
I'm always excited to share Book review - Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫This is an adult dystopian, post pandemic book (but written well before we all experienced covid-19), so it was interesting reading this with the perspective we have!
This book follows a flu virus that quickly spreads and essentially shuts down the world and is a look at how people have survived 20 years later, mostly following a travelling theatre group and their encounters. A look at humanity, but also a look at how we are all interconnected and weaving stories together and the choices we have to make. I enjoyed the setting and the main characters we followed. So well written!
TWO
Last weekend we had our May Book Club - we discussed the book Mouth to Mouth and most of the group loved it! We went to Vaycay Brewery and it was a great spot!
THREE
I made some adorable cupakes this week so I had to share - I made them look like little icecream sundaes and I love them! I used a whipped cream frosting, melted chocolate, sprinkles and a maraschino cherry!
FOUR
I finally got to my backyard and garden and spent the whole day out there - I didn't plant anything new this year, just some general maintenance and lots of weeding!
FIVE
I was at the Dollar Store this past weekend and found a cute little cross stitch pattern for only $2! It's not something that I've done before, but I'd like to try it!
I hope you all have a great week!
