Five on Saturday - October 28, 2023 ~ Dinner at Street Eatery, First Responders Run, Auction Clothes Finds, Henna, and Halloween Bake Sale

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - it's been super busy here and I'm tired, but looking forward to a good weekend! 

ONE 

I purchased everything in this post

I was able to finally check out The Street Eatery this week and it was so good - it is described as "globally inspired street food" with zany milkshakes and lots of vegan options! The food was so tasty and I can't wait to check out the fun milkshakes next time! 

TWO 

This past weekend a big group of us from work did The First Responders Run - it was a mix of a half marathon, 10k and 5k run. I only did a 5k run, but did better than I thought and it actually wasn't too bad. It was really good to have a big Corrections group and I can't wait for us to do it again! 

THREE 

I was able to find some fur Steven Rhodes shirts on an auction recently and I'm so excited - he's got the funniest sense of humour to me! Plus, I got a cardigan and a pair of leggings! All of this for only $13 and I'm pretty happy with these finds! 

FOUR 

I went to a Cultural and Diversity Open House for work this week and it was really great - we met so many people and got a lot of new information! And, I was treated to a little henna and it's so pretty! I love how this turned out! 

FIVE 

This week we had a Halloween Bake Sale at work and it was so good - there were a few of us that all chipped in a whole bunch and we made over $300 which was really good!
