Monthly Beauty & Book Haul ~ June 2022

I'm switching up my Monthly Haul posts a little bit this year, because I'm actually *trying* to stick to a bit of a budget! I've been going a little crazy on the beauty and books front, so I just want to be a little more thoughtful in my purchases. So. I'm trying to keep my beauty and book purchases to $200 a month - we'll see!

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

Shoppers Haul ~ $11.58 CAN. Okay, what better summarizes my haul posts up - I can get books and beauty at Shoppers! Okay, I went in for mascara and ended up with a whole body line from a new Shoppers Brand, Truly, some lip balm, a dry shampoo, and a couple of Summer books!

Sephora Haul ~ $76.65 CAN. Oooh - I was so excited for the new Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm powder, I picked it up right away! I have been using it and seeing how it's working for me. I also picked up this YSL Nu Cheek and Lip Tint and I've already reviewed it - you can see my thoughts here (I love it!) Then the mini dry shampoo is always good for Summer travel.

Facebook Find ~ $5.00 CAN. I love finding books for cheap on Facebook - this is the hottest book of Summer (I have to read it asap) so I was glad to find it for $5!

Book Outlet Haul ~ $29.05 CAN. I love finding books I'm looking for on Book Outlet for a good price - both these graphic novels popped up, and I needed to pick them up! I've read both Maus books before and they are great - I found #1 on an auction and have been waiting for #2. Plus, The Prince and the Dressmaker has caught my eye and I'm excited to read it!

ELF Order #1 ~ $30.20 CAN. ELF was having a crazy Summer sale - these were all on sale for a couple of dollars each (except the putty blush) - I'm excited to try everything here and will have a whole big swatch post up!

Elf Order #2 ~ $6.20 CAN. Right after I placed that order (the next morning) ELF announced their new Luminous Putty Blushes and I had to try them - I love their regular putty blushes. So, I had a good coupon and points earned so I ended picking up two brand new blushes and a concealer for $6! I will have a review on these blushes forthwith!

Tapwe Preorder ~ $21.68 CAN. I was so excited that my sister got to illustrate a book with Buffy Sainte-Marie - this is a middle grade book, and I can't wait to read it with my boys!

Dead Romantics Order ~ $18.90 CAN. I was really excited for this release - this book sounds super cute and perfect for Summer! I preordered this from Indigo and they did lose this, but it did finally arrive for me!

Book Outlet Order ~ $15.90 CAN. Okay, I didn't even realize I made two BookOutlet orders until writing this post - whoops, good thing I'm still on budget! The Roughest Draft looks and sounds so good and the reviews are great. The other one was only $1.99 so I had to pick it up!

I spent $215.16 CAN - I'm pretty happy that I've managed to stay on budget for every month so far (I think the most I've been over is like $30, which is pretty impressive!) I'm excited for everything I picked up this month!
