I haven't kept up with their new releases, so I'm not sure what's new or what's older; but, I'm trying to follow the brand a little bit more and try out what's new now that I've been enjoying the brand. I love that they are a super affordable and accessible and they have some really great products!
These are some catch up and some newer products and I'm testing out a whole bunch trying to help me familiarize myself with the line up! I picked up products for the eyes, lips and face (ha - that's what e.l.f. stands for!) and here's a closer look at everything I picked up:
E.L.F. Putty Blush in Turks and Caicos ~ $8.00 CAN. Say hello to that island glow! This lightweight but buildable, putty to powder blush, blends seamlessly into skin. Infused with argan oil and vitamin E, this silky smooth, buildable formula will give you a flushed-from-within glow.
Cream blush formulas are a newer love to me, but I've really been enjoying them - I honestly can't wait for post-mask life where I feel like I can wear them so much more!
This actually applies really nicely - I use a duo-fibre brush and I love the application! It applies a little lighter than I expected, but I prefer that. It makes it more buildable and you can build it up to exactly how you want it on your cheeks!
There are a great range of products in the line and they are cutely named after tropical islands - I had to pick up the shade Turks and Caicos because it's such a special place to me (and the shades are gorgeous!)
Here is a difference between the shades swatched right out of the pot and then blended in.
Here is a look at the Turks and Caicos Putty Blush on my cheeks - this swatch was built up with about 3 dips in to the blush and dotted on to the cheeks. I do have a highlighter over top, but you can see how pretty the colour is on my cheeks!
E.L.F. Hydrating Core Lip Shine in Lovely ~ $7.00 CAN. A 2-in-1 melting lip balm combining an outer shell with a hint of color and an inner heart shaped core packed with skincare benefits. Infused with shea butter, coconut oil and jojoba oil it will give your lips the nourishment they’ve been looking for. Its hydrating core will sure make your heart skip a beat!
I know that this is an older release, but I've been waiting for these lippies to be released in Canada for a while! I love a tinted lip balm and it's so cute with the little heart core in the middle.
This is pretty; but, it actually wasn't as hydrating as I thought - it's fine and it instantly refreshes and smooths the lips, but it stays pretty surface in terms of hydration and needs reapplication every couple of hours to keep the lips hydrated!
Again, I think these lippies have a good range of shades - I picked up Lovely, which is lovely neutral rosey pink shade!
Here's a look at Lovely on the lips - it adds a really nice hint of colour to the lips and you can see, it adds a little bit of shine and gloss to the lips. This was nice and I will use this all up!
E.L.F. No Budge Shadow Stick in Rose Gold ~ $7.00 CAN. This no budge, creamy metallic eyeshadow has a long-lasting formula that helps prevent budging, smearing, and creasing. Twist up for easy glide on use, or use the sharpener in the base to create a refined tip to use as an eyeliner.
I've been loving single shadow looks lately - I just haven't been doing full faces of makeup often while we are still masking everywhere, so I'm opting for quick eye looks. I was excited to try more easy shadow formula as it's very affordable and comes with a sharpener as well!
I really liked this shadow stick formula - I thought it was great! It applies really creamy and you have an opportunity to blend it out with a shadow or brush, so it's not too stiff, but it doesn't budge after a few minutes and wears all day! Really impressed!
Here is a look at the Rose Gold Shadow - it is a really pretty shimmery shade! They have everything from light neutrals to pops of blue and purple in this range and they are all shimmery (which is what I prefer in a single shade look). These can also be used as liners, mixed, as an inner corner shade!
E.L.F. Instant Lift Brow Pencil in Neutral Brown ~ $4.00 CAN. Slim mechanical pencil shapes, defines and fills in brows for a natural, polished look. Dual-sided design applies color with one side and tames and combs eyebrows with the other.
I'm always on the hunt for a good new brow pencil, especially one that costs $4! I'm pretty picky about brow formulas that I love, so this one is a good dual sided pencil, with a spoolie, which is a must have. The size of the pencil was good, although I'm used to a little slimmer.
This was a decent formula - it was creamy and applied well. It was personally almost a little too creamy for my liking. I prefer a bit stiffer of a formula so it can look a little more hair like - I'm actually using the E.L.F. Ultra Precise Brow Pencil and prefer that a touch more!
Here is a look at Neutral Brown swatched on me - you can see it's quite smooth looking when applying in hair like strokes. It's a nice formula, just prefer my pencil to give a more precise line for a real hair look!
E.L.F. Flawless Brightening Concealer in Light Neutral ~ $7.00 CAN. Luminosity is a click away! Create a brightened, flawless complexion with a flick of a pen. Use this buildable, brightening concealer to highlight all over your face. This luxurious but lightweight formula brightens and highlights your key features. Infused with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, this formula works to conceal uneven skin tones.
I know E.L.F. is mostly known for their camo concealers; but, I'm moving away from really full coverage concealers because they just crease under my eyes - instead I'm trying to find great, light concealers that help brighten the under eye (and this sounded perfect!) This has a push up mechanism with a brush application (similar to YSL's Touche Eclat for a fraction of the price). I like the brush applicator, the only difficulty I have with the packaging is that you cannot tell when you are running low!
I was happy with this formula - the shade I picked was a tad lighter than my skin tone and helped brighten everything up. It did crease or look cakey and wore for the day well!
Here is a look at the Flawless Brightening Concealer in Light 26 N - light with neutral peach undertones. I like that this comes with a range of undertones, and a decent shade range.
Here is a look at all the eye products close up on me! I have the No Budge Shadow Stick in Rose Gold all over my lid, the Instant Brow Lift throughout my brows to fill them in, and the Flawless Brightening Concealer under my eyes. I love the shade of the shadow stick, and you can see I have some fine lines under my eye and the concealer has not settled in or anything!
Here's a look at the almost "full face" of E.L.F. products that are new to me! I love how this look came together and all the products were quick and simple to use - they are affordable, effective and great for a no-fuss make up look!
My favourite product of all is the Putty Blush - I love the formula and application, and it looks great on! I also really enjoyed the Concealer and No Budge Shadow Sticks. The Core Lip Shine and Instant Brow Lift were also good products, just not my favourites.
What is your favourite product from E.L.F.?
