Happy Friday everyone! Okay, can you believe this week we officially 1 year in to the pandemic?! I just remember last year thinking it would pass in a couple of weeks, and here we are 52 weeks later waiting for vaccines and trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

I just received my February Owlcrate subscription (it shipped a little late last month!) and this month's theme is "Magic Unleashed" - each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and comes with a note from the author as well - they often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun! As a bookworm, I have been loving this subscription!
The items included in this month's box are:
- Book - The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna ~ I'm excited for this book - it has been pretty talked about as an exciting book coming out this year! This is described as a drak feminist tale - "In this world, girls are outcasts by blood and warriors by choice. Get ready for battle." Sounds so good! (This version is signed and has an exclusive detail on the cover as well as foil detail on the hardcover).
- Enamel Keychain ~ This keychain is inspired by a favourite restaurant in Daughter of Smoke and Bone, like a faux souvenir made by Lively Ghosts.
- Red London Book Tin ~ This is the first part of a four-part collectable tine series inspired by A Darker Shade of Magic series - I love this, I imagine each one will be inspired by a book that could be found on the shelves of each of the four Londons in that series! These are create by Forensic and Flowers and I love this!
- Bath Salts ~ I love when book boxes include beauty and bath products - this are from The Soap Librarian and inspired by We Hunt The Flame to help you soak up some magic in the tub!
- Hairbrush ~ This is a pretty hairbrush inspired by Star Daughter - it has a pretty lotus design on the back inspired by the book.
- Zipper Pouch ~ This pouch was designed by By Chenelle and has an inspiring quote from Legendborn (which I love!) - it says Fight. Take Risks. Follow Your Heart. I will get good use out of a pouch!
- Enamel Pin ~ The enamel pin of the month was designed by Icey Designs and inspired by an important symbol in the book of the month!

I did something a little different this year for St. Patrick's Day and decided to set up a Leprechaun Trap with Elliott - he is super in to booby traps so I thought it was a cute idea! We tried to lure him in with chocolate gold, but he got away this year leaving some highlighter footprints behind! Let's see if we catch him next year!

Oh hey look, I bought another romper - what else is new?! But, seriously, I picked up the long Hilary Duff romper and loved it, so I tracked down a short version too and think it will be perfect and comfy for Summer days!
FOUR
Also, are we surprised if I bought more books this month?! No, okay good - I picked up an order from a local Indie bookstore that also is a second hand book store. I was excited about the Wings of Ebony signed copy and the other books were used!
FIVE
Oh look, I'm at it again - but seriously, I stopped by a Value Village and someone miraculously decided to get rid of a bunch of YA fantasy books I've had on my wishlist - that Horrid book is a brand new signed Owlcrate version! Felt like a total win!
