I'm always excited when I get to try and share more products from a brand that I have been interested in! Pixi Beauty came to Canada in early 2017 and I tried a few products and was really impressed with the skincare products that I tried from them at that time. Then, the next year I really loved their liquid lipstick, so I have been wanting to try more from them and I'm excited to use some new eye shadow and face palettes!
Pixi Beauty just came out with two new eye shadow palettes - the Eye Effects in Rosette Ray and Hazelnut Haze and two new face palette - the Nuance Quartettes in Sugar Blossom and Honey Nectar and they are so pretty! I haven't tried Pixi Beauty makeup since 2017 and their little eyeshadow I tried then wasn't great, but the brand has really focused on their makeup line since then and I'm very excited to try it again - when this collection showed up in a PR box to me, I was honestly so excited to use everything!
Pixi Beauty is at Shoppers Drug Mart, and I can't find these online yet, but hopefully soon - they might be in stores as well, but I haven't shopped in person in quite a while so I'm not positive! These are all meant to be travel friendly (I know, not happening for a while but one day it will happen again!) and they all have big mirrors and sturdy plastic packaging!
Pixi Beauty Eye Effects in Rosette Ray ~ $22.00 US (Waiting on CAN price). A selection of gorgeous super silky shadows come in a portable compact to help create any look needed, day or night. Flattering and versatile, this palette will be a must-have to take with you wherever you go!
This is a really beautiful palette that looks perfect for a berry Fall or Winter look - I think it has a good range in it and actually has a few deeper shades in it. These seem like creamier shadows and almost like the mattes are more of a satin finish!
French Rose ~ light rosey beige matte
Ice ~ champagne shimmer
Glow ~ light golden beige shimmer
Plum ~ medium purple taupe
Mocha ~ bronze shimmer
Wine ~ reddish berry shimmer
Berry ~ berry purple mauve matte
Mushroom ~ dark brown matte
Black Tulip ~ deep brown purple matte
This is a good, 9 pan palette with a great mixture of mattes and shimmers. It's a really good colour scheme that looks can come together really easy with this! Nine shadows is such a good amount that has enough variety, but still approachable and quick!
I think the shadows were good quality - they applied well and were blendable and layered well. I thought the pigmentation was great and the metallics looked great applied with a finger or wet brush and lasted most of the day (I thought the lighter metallic shadows faded a little faster, so were better on the inner corner than the whole lid).
Pixi Beauty Nuance Quartette in Sugar Blossom ~ $16.00 US/$22.00 CAN. Natural tone-on-tone nuances of colour to use on cheeks & eyes. Buff onto cheeks in circular movements and sweep gently over lids to create a naturally coordinated look. Creamy powders formulated with ceramides, vitamin E and botanical extracts hydrate skin.
This is a pretty quad - it is the darker of the two face palettes, but as a light medium I found I could still make this work for me (although the blush is borderline to dark), I do think a third palette for a dark skintone would be beneficial for a full range.
Sugar ~ champagne golden shimmer
Rosewood ~ cool taupey bronzer matte
Petal ~ shimmery light pink
The blush shade is very bold in this palette and I love that the bronzery shade is more on the cool side and can be bronzer/contour and cool toned is great going in to the colder months!
The formula of these are great - they are pigmented and are nice and smooth going on. This can be applied lightly and build up well and the highlighters were pretty and they lasted well when I wore them. The highlighters are a little on the lighter side, but they are shimmery and pretty!
Here's a look using the Eye Effects in Rosette Ray and Nuance Quartette in Sugar Blossom on! From the Sugar Blossom face palette, I used Rosewood as a bronzer, Blossom as the blush and Petal as the highlighter.
And, from the Rosette Ray eyeshadow palette, I used French Rose as a transition shade in the crease, Berry to deepen the crease, Plum and Black Tulip on the outer corner, Wine on the lids, and Glow in the inner corner. This is such a pretty berry pinky look!
This is a really pretty, earthy toned eyeshadow - it looks perfect for Fall and Winter with that more cool vibe. Again, it's a good mix of mattes (slightly satiny mattes) and shimmers - I love that can be a little bit more cool or warm depending on the shadows you use!
Gold ~ gold shimmer
Neutral ~ light cool brown matte
Bark ~ medium cool brown matte
Sage ~ light sage green shimmer
Bronze ~ bronze shimmer
Russet ~ rust matte
Copper ~ copper shimmer
Deep ~ cool grey blueish brown matte
This palette was a surprise for me - I don't have a lot of palettes in this colour story, but it's actually so gorgeous! I love the little added green and thought the formulas were all really nice, the only thing was the bottom right shadow didn't quite fit in when I looked at it, but it did blend nicely into a look!
Pixi Beauty Nuance Quartette in Honey Nectar ~ $16.00 US/$22.00 CAN. Natural tone-on-tone nuances of colour to use on cheeks & eyes. Buff onto cheeks in circular movements and sweep gently over lids to create a naturally coordinated look. Creamy powders formulated with ceramides, vitamin E and botanical extracts hydrate skin.
I love the shades in this palette - it's a little more suited for my taste with a lighter, more natural blush shade. The bronzer shade is a little deeper than I might typically reach for, but it's also cool toned and pretty (it does apply lightly and still look nice on.)
Honey ~ golden champagne shimmer
Syrup ~ medium cool bronzer
Ambrosia ~ shimmery pink highlighter
This is a simple go-to face palette - it's a pretty blush and love that it had a pinky and champagney highlighters. The formula was nice and I love the blush and highlighters, the bronzer is also good because it can be built up - I actually don't have any cooler bronzers, so this is a nice addition to my collection!
Here is a look using the Eye Effects in Hazelnut Haze and the Nuance Quartette in Honey Nectar face palette. From the Honey Nectar face palette, I used Syrup as a bronzer, Nectar as the blush and Honey as the highlighter.
From the Hazelnut Haze palette, I used Cream as the base shadow, Neutral through the crease, Russet to deepen up the crease, Bark on the outer corner, Sage on the lids, and Gold on the inner corner.
I'm so obsessed with both of those face palettes!! They're so pretty!!
