This palette was received as a PR sample

I'm a total animal lover (back in the day, I actually wanted to be a veterinarian, but I couldn't stand seeing an animal hurt, so I scratched that but); so, I was really excited to hear about the brand Shared Planet! This brand is actually founded by a teenage girl and her passion for combining her love of animals with her love of makeup! They are taking inspiration from at-risk animals (right now it's polar bears, tigers and sea turtles) for their makeup products and then they donate 10% of their proceeds to charities and organizations dedicating to helping those animals and I just think this is amazing!

I'm thankful for having been sent this palette and couldn't wait to try and review it right away - I certainly think everyone who is passionate about animals should know about this brand. I personally can't wait to check out their eyeshadow formula next!

Shared Planet Sea Turtle Highlighting Palette ~ $44.00 US. The sea turtle plays a vital role in preserving a healthy marine ecosystem. As sea turtle populations decline, so does their ability to perform this critical function. Shared Planet's collection of shimmering, pearlescent highlighters is inspired by the majestic sea turtle and is dedicated to its conservation and well-being.

This is a limited-edition palette that consists of 5 warm golden metallic shades and that are meant to melt in to the skin to a create a lit from within radiance. This can be dusted all over the cheeks, brow bone, cupid's bow, bridge of nose or any high point on the face or body for a multidimensional glow.

The shades included in the palette are inspired by the sea turtle and they are so pretty! I actually thought this was an eyeshadow palette (and I tested it out that way too), so it offers some really unique highlight shades too.

And, I love that this palette has a range of highlighters that will flatter a variety of skin-tones and I think that's helpful when the owner is non-caucasian women!

White Sands ~ golden champagne highlighter
Sun Kissed ~ bronzey gold highlighter
Lagoon ~ light sea foam green highlighter
Coral Reef ~ bronze rose gold highlighter
Oceanic ~ ocean blue highlighter

These highlighters are a really soft buttery smooth formula that applied nicely and wore well. The highlighters lasted all day, and even on the eyes (the ones that I tried stayed pigmented for hours).

Here is White Sands on the cheekbones - this is by far the best shade for my skintone and the most flattering. This is a great go-to highlighter for me and I loved the formula and the shade! The metallic and creamier formula was really great on and lasted well!

Here is Sun Kissed on my cheekbones and buffed in as a blush lightly - this is too dark on me, but that doesn't mean it's not a beautiful shade. I'm really hoping that I will be able to make this work as a blush on me, because it's lovely!

Here is Lagoon on my cheekbones and on my eyelids - this shade is so beautiful! I was worried how it would come across on my cheeks if it would look too green; but, I actually like the shade it went on my cheeks and I will use this shade again! Also, is this not a stunning lid shade?! I love how it looked!

Here is Coral Reef on my cheek bones and on my eyelids as well. I was worried that this would be too dark as well, but it's a little lighter than Sun Kissed on and it's really pretty. I loved this as a highlighter and could easily wear this as a blush. I also loved this as an eyeshadow colour!

Here is Oceanic on the cheeks - I don't think a blue highlighter is the most flattering shade on my cheeks and this colour is too dark to me, but I would love to see how this looks on a deeper skintone than mine. I did also use this on my outer lid with Lagoon for the eye look and it was really pretty like that.

Overall, this is a really beautiful palette and I'm really happy with it! The formula is really great on the highlighters and even though these are the most typical highlight shades, I can make most of them work for me and they are all so pretty! I love the philosophy of this brand and I can't wait to try more from them!
