Some polishes may have been sent as PR samples - this post
This whole month our #CBBxManiMonday group is doing things a little bit different and we are searching #summernails and picking our inspiration from what we find - this is such a fun way to find some new inspiration!
So, searching the hashtag, I saw so many cacti nails and all with coral polishes, so I had to jump on to the coral cactus bandwagon asap and I'm not going to lie, I loooove how these turned out! Also, Living Coral is still the colour of the year, so I'm happy to see this trend continuing in to the year!
The products I used for this week's mani are:
-Ceramic Glaze Perfect Peony polish
-Morgan Taylor Beauty Marks The Spot polish
-LA Colors Art Decon green nail art polish
-OPI How Does Your Zen Garden Grow?
-Moyra Top Coat for Nail Stamping
-nail dotting tool and nail art brush
To create this nail art look, I started with nail cleanser and base coat. Then I started with the darker coral polish and painted two coats of the polish on the nails I was not doing nail art on. Then I used 2 coats of a lighter pink peach polish for the nails I was doing art on so it would stand out more!
Then, using the green nail art polish, I freehanded the shapes of the cacti on my nails. Then with the light green polish and a nail art brush, I just painted a few lines throughout the cacti to give them dimension. And, I added a couple coral dots with the dotting tool on the top of one type of cactus for flowers!
I'm loving this week's nails! What are your favourite Summer nails?! As always, make sure to check out Cosmetic Proof, Prairie Beauty Love, and Tea & Nail Polish to see what they came up with for their #summernails this week!
