Five on Friday - August 16, 2019

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry it's been a bit of a slow week around here - this Summer has been absolutely crazy (can you believe we are halfway through August already?! Holy moly!)

ONE

I received a Topbox Circle kit that came with a couple samples of the Almay Lip Vibes lipstick and a Doucce eyeliner! The shade of lipstick I'm wearing is Go Wild and it's a pretty light nude and the Doucce is a bright blue eyeliner that looks awesome on the waterline! 

Here is a look at the set from Topbox Circle - the lipsticks are really pretty; but, I was pretty bummed that I signed up for a campaign and received a little sample to try. I find these hard to judge the formula because you have to apply these with a brush and it's not the same way you apply a bullet lipstick. Also, I think the eyeliner is fun and bright and it stayed well in the waterline. 

Also, this eye look was created using the ColourPop Disney Villains Misunderstood. Shadow Palette!

I love Yoga Jeans so much - I've raved about the Rachel Skinny jeans before! These are 100% Canadian made. They are made with eco-friendly and sustainable practices and aim for a low carbon footprint. The fit is fantastic and I love them. So, I've had to pick up a second pair and this one is the Chloe Straight in an Indigo rinse and they are gorgeous and the most affordable pair! I love them!

This past weekend was pretty quiet and my older son went camping with a friend's family and my husband was working, so it was just me and the little guy for the whole weekend. We had a great weekend and it was a little rainy, but we went to the zoo and had a blast! 

FOUR 

This week I also volunteered at the Calgary Food Bank - we packed food hampers and it's such a rewarding experience. I really love giving back and it's an agency I've worked close with and referred my clients too. I really hope I can do this more often. 

FIVE 

And, one of the reasons things were a little quieter this week around here is because I actually went out this week! Yes, we went out on a Tuesday night for a couple of work friend's bachelorette party and had a blast - we ended up in a limo and may have had a little too much to drink! But, since it was on a Tuesday, I was the only who had to work the next day and paid for it a little!
