December 2018 - Monthly Favorites

Hello end of the year! I will be doing my 2018 Yearly Favorites as well in a few days; but, I always think that favorites feel incomplete without doing December! So, here is what I was loving in December:

December 2018 - Monthly Favorites

Bite Beauty Astrology by Bite Limited Edition Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Scorpio ~ $30.00 CAN. A limited-edition shade of award-winning Amuse Bouche Lipstick, created for the zodiac sign Scorpio. For sexy Scorpio, Bite mixes up a bombshell fiery orange-red. This searing, spicy shade is made for hot dates.

This is a limited edition shade, and it's no longer available on Sephora; but, Bite Beauty still has some on their website! This is an orange red, and honestly I wasn't sure how it was going to look on me; but, I love it! I have been making an effort to wear this out multiple times since I got it! My husband even told me that he doesn't like bright lipstick; but, he likes this shade on me too! The formula is long lasting, and I just need a quick blot so that it doesn't get on my teeth!

You can see my full review and swatches here and I just used it in a recent holiday glam look that you can see here!

Pat McGrath MatteTrance Lipstick in "Omi" ~ $32.00 for a trio of minis, or $52.00 CAN for full size. A richly pigmented lipstick that adorns lips in a lightweight veil of opaque color for a modern, matte finish.

I have the little mini size, which I picked up in the Lust: Mini MatteTrance Lipstick Trio in "Skin Show" which is an awesome little set - you can see the whole trio on me here! But, you call also pick it up full size and it's a gorgeous colour! The formula of this lipstick is gorgeous - it may be one of my favorites ever. It goes on smooth, velvety and opaque - they are smoothing and long lasting on the lips too! Ugh, it's so good!

Glow Recipe Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer ~ $28.00 CAN for mini (pictured), or $50.00 CAN full size. A lightweight moisturizer, ideal for oily to combination skin, that is formulated with vitamin-rich watermelon extract, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and soothing botanicals to boost radiance and glow—which also layers perfectly as a soothing serum for dry skin.

I will agree that this is ideal for Combo or Oily skin - it is a light weight gel texture moisturizer that smells lightly of artificial watermelon! It's smoothing and absorbs well in to the skin quickly - it has easily become my everyday moisturizer, and I think it in the Summer on my combo skin that this will still be the perfect moisturizer. I would think it would not be enough for dry skin; but, I love that you can use it as a serum on dry skin!

I also love the whole line and have raved about the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask and Jelly Sheet Mask

Natasha Denona Mini Star Eyeshadow Palette ~ $30.00 CAN. The palette features five shades from the existing Natasha Denona Star Palette. These shadows are long-lasting, with strong color payoff, thanks to a high percentage of pure pigments. Extremely buildable and blendable, these shades will not crease, and they easily adhere to the eye, even without using primer.

No surprise here - I have basically raved about all the mini Natasha Denona palettes and the shadows in here are really gorgeous! (The only difference with this mini palette is that it is all pre-existing shadows, where the previous palettes were all new shades!) The lasting power and pigmentation of these shadows is amazing - it certainly reflects the quality I expect of this brand! You can see my full thoughts, swatches, and try on here

Morphe Continuous Setting Mist ~ $20.00 CAN. A setting mist to defend your makeup artistry.

I absolutely love that this setting spray is a continuous mister - it's so perfect for applying setting spray. No need to worry about a thick spray or blotches landing on your face. Seriously, I love the mister too! It took me about a week to make sure the setting spray holds everything in place and extends my makeup - it's perfect for every day setting spray and adds a slightly glowy finish (but not too much). It may not stand up to All Nighter for when you need a whole day and night worth of hold, but, it offers a solid finish to your makeup!
