Halloween Makeup - TNMT Ninja Turtle Donatello Makeup!

Happy Halloween everyone! I have been counting down days until Halloween and I have been so excited for our family Ninja Turtle costume - there is finally 4 of us for the full squad! I'm Donatello and I love purple so this works for me (although, every time I played Ninja Turtles as a kid I was always Raphael!)

I have been thinking about how I wanted to do this TNMT makeup for a while, and I thought a full face of green makeup might not be the best for a night of trick-or-treating with the litter guy, so I decided that a full glitter mask would work the best! I figured with the full Ninja Turtle hoodie, the mask is sufficient!

I absolutely love how this Donatello turned out!!! I love how the glitter worked with the purple base! It might be a little simple; but, I also didn't want it to look too young or cartoony.

For this Ninja Turtle makeup I used:
-Model in a Bottle setting spray (base and multiple setting layers)
-Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation in Fresco
-ColourPop No Filter Concealer in Light
-Too Faced Banana Setting Powder (not pictured!)
-Burt's Bees Blush in Shy Pink
-NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder in Lavender Steel
-Burt's Bees Nourishing Mascara
-Make Up For Ever Aqua XL black eyeliner
-Lancome Juicy Shaker in Boom Meringue
-Purple halloween makeup crayon - just picked up at a Halloween store
-ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Envy
-Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette - specifically the purple shadow Royalty
-Lit Cosmetics Glitter (this was before the names were on the package; but, it looks closest to Twisted Sistah in the smallest size glitter)
-Lit Glitter Base

Before starting on my mask, I did my base foundation and then set it really well with powder and setting spray. I used the Halloween makeup pencil to create the shape and base of Donatello's mask. Then I went in with the ColourPop shadow to deepen and fill in the base colour. I then used the purple shadow, Royalty from the Jaclyn Hill palette to set the shadow and add the purple colour I was really looking for! Then with the Lit Glitter Base and glitter, I very carefully patted it over the whole mask!

Then for some finishing touches, I lined the mask with a black liner, lined my eyes and added mascara! I loved how it finished - they glitter just adds such a fun finish!

  1. This is so cute. I love that it is so easy but also so fun. You sure got the right shade of purple down.
