September 2018 Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Time for a look at my beauty garbage!

Mac Cosmetics False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara ~ sample (full size is $30.00 CAN). A mousse-like formula in carbon black that pushes up lashes for maximum volume.

I haven't tried many mascaras from Mac so I was excited to try this one. It really did make my lashes look full, long and thick! The only downfall for me was that it smudged - it would rub off on my eye lid during the work day and did not look good.
Repurchase: Sadly, no

The BrowGal Instatint - Tinted Eyebrow Gel in Brown Hair 02 ~ $22.00 US. A tinted eyebrow gel formulated with volumizing microfibers to give the look of natural hair.

I actually liked this product - my brows looked and felt good. It lasted all day, looked natural and didn't make my brows feel crunchy. But, this wasn't near empty and the stupid wand inside broke off the cap and is stuck inside - it was super flimsy.
Repurchase: Not because of the packaging

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Creme in Wonder ~ $?. This perfectly pretty poppy shade is infused with their famous maracuja oil for a standout softening and creamy feel.

I'm pretty sure that this is from a past Ipsy bag and it's no longer sold - this was a pretty shade but this packaging wasn't great - the pencil fell out a couple times and just got too beat up to carry on with.
Repurchase: No

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water Mini ~ $18.00 CAN. A two-in-one primer and setting spray that hydrates, preps, and refreshes skin.

I really like this primer water - it actually made my favorites in July! This was really good to use before and after makeup application. I thought the prepped my skin; but, also was great during the day as a refresher to make my makeup not look powdery. The mister wasn't super fine, but this was so light-weight to wear especially in Summer.
Repurchase: Yes

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara ~ sample (full size is $32.00 CAN). A high-volume mascara that delivers bold lash volume for up to 24 hours.

This mascara was pretty good - it was a really full and thick formula and made my lashes look really good! It wore well during the day and was maybe only a tiny bit flaky at the end of the day.
Repurchase: Maybe!

Lush Wash Behind Lush Wash Behind Your Ears Shower Gel ~ $10.95 for 100ml. Lavish your body with this gorgeous thick shower gel and let luxurious jasmine and rose oils bloom on your skin to create a fresh bouquet of fragrance.

This was a limited edition Easter scent and it was good. The Lush shower gels are always nice and gentle on the skin.
Repurchase: Maybe, if it's available

Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask ~ sample (full size is $125.00 US). Salicylic Acid overnight gel-mask to brighten and smooth complexion.

Oh, I love this night mask - it is super brightening on the skin! This actually made my Monthly Favorites in May because it just really seemed to keep my skin clear, reduced redness and kept my skin bright! Now, this is expensive and I've found that the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is comparable and much more affordable.
Repurchase: It's sooo goood; but, so expensive... probably not

Fronaturals Facial Elixir ~ $34.99 CAN. We’ve taken 4 of the most powerful skin nurturing natural ingredients and created this amazing formula. It will have a deeply transformative effect on your skin.

This is a solid serum - I have used this most nights since I got it! You can see my original review here, it made my December Favorites here, and this even made my 2017 Game Changers for Skincare! Needless to say, I really enjoyed this! It just made my skin really hydrated, smoothed and refreshed!
Repurchase: Yes!

Graydon All Over Soap ~ sample (full size is $20.00). Cleanse your body, face and hair with our best-selling All Over Soap.

This was pretty good - it worked well and made my hair clean and refreshed! So, it did work well; but, in comparison to the Graydon Matcha Mint Shampoo, this doesn't compare. That one is just so good!
Repurchase: Probably not

Graydon Hair Smoothie ~ sample (full size is $25.00). This thick blend of green goodness contains herbs like parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme to stimulate the scalp and reduce dandruff.

I really like how thick and smooth this conditioner is - it just feels so moisturizing and smoothing on the hair! My hair is never frizzy after using this. It even made my Monthly Favorites for August
Repurchase: Yes!

Live Clean Fresh Face Refreshing Facial Wipes  ~$9.99 CAN. Perfectly gentle and effective, Live Clean Fresh Face Refreshing Facial Wipes quickly cleanse the skin of excess oil, makeup and impurities, leaving the skin fresh and glowing.

These were wipes that were a touch drier than I normally reach for and I just found that they didn't remove makeup. This wouldn't even take off eyeliner, mascara or liquid lipstick and I found it wasn't even great at removing swatches. They would be good in the morning to give the skin a quick refresh wipe, but not great at taking anything off.
Repurchase: No

Lush Sympathy For The Skin Body Lotion ~ $29.95 CAN. Your skin certainly deserves a little sympathy if it's feeling chapped or dry, so don't delay in smoothing on this delicious vanilla-banana cream.

This is such a good lotion! It smells like bananas and cookies! It's quite a thin lotion formula; but, it is so effective! Love this - it made my Favorites in February!
Repurchase: Yes!

Mitchum Clinical Soft Solid ~ $8.99 CAN.
Mitchum Clinical Gel ~ $8.99 CAN.

Deodorant is nothing special; but, I love the clinical strength formula and this brand is my go to. I like that it is both an antiperspirant and a deodorant. I liked the soft solid much better than the gel.
Repurchase: Yes (not the gel probably)

Acuvue Oasys x 2 ~ $57.00 each for a 12 pack.

These are my go-to contacts - my eyes are usually pretty dry and these work well to keep them hydrated during the day!
Repurchase: Yep!

Crest Whitening Radiant White, Brilliant White and Crest Pro-Health

Somehow we randomly used 3 toothpastes up in the same month - these were all fine. We generally just use whatever whitening toothpaste is on my online grocery order.
Repurchase: Yes

Colgate Total MouthWash

This was fine - I normally use the Crest Pro-health mouthwash because it isn't a taste that I hate. But, this was usable.
Repurchase: Maybe

Exact Lens Care System ~ $15.99 CAN for 2 systems and 2 cases. 3.3% hydrogen peroxide cleaning and disinfecting solution.

I recently made the switch from regular contact solution to a hydrogen peroxide contact solution and it is really great - it actually made a Monthly Favorites post in June (how lame am I?!) But it is really great!
Repurchase: Already!

Lush Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb ~ $6.95 CAN. Drop it into the tub to luxuriate among the romantic aromas of rose and jasmine absolutes, and watch as whole rosebuds saunter across the softening waters.

This is adorable with the rose petals in it - so cute! It was great in the tub. I love rosy scents it was a cute pink bath!
Repurchase: Maybe, it was limited edition for Valentine's Day

In September, I used 22 products! I actually used up a ton of Favorites products this month so I have a lot to add to my repurchase list!

And, here are the masks I used this month:

Beauty Clinic Mediheal Snail Aquaring SOS Mask ~ $4.49 CAN. "Dr. Post" Snail Aquaring SOS Mask is a special moisturizing clinic system which intensively manages skin which has been damaged by dry environment containing hydration building ingredients such as Snail Mucus Components.

This is hands down one of my all time favorite masks! You start by putting on the first step ampoule and then applying the mask - this is lovely, with the extra ampoule, you can wear this mask for almost an hour. It is so moisturizing and hydrating and really clears the skin and reduces redness!
Repurchase: Yes!

Illi Mugwort Calming Mask ~ $4.00 CAN. Illi's Mugwort Calming Mask contains mugwort (or artemisia extract) that helps to soothe and calm skin while maintaining and replenishing it's moisture barrier.

I really like illi masks - they smell very medicinal are a thicker formula; but, it really did work to calm the skin and refresh!
Repurchase: Yes, I would

Etude House Collagen Eye Patch AD ~ $1.30 US. The patch for the areas around the eyes makes skin feel smooth and elastic.

These eye masks were super essensy so they were sliding down a whole lot. They are a really thin material and they were just okay. I hate when eye masks slide around so these didn't work for me.
Repurchase: No

Altchek MD Depuff Eye Pads ~ $20 for 10 sets. Eye Gel Pads help reduce the appearance of fine lines and puffiness while hydrating the sensitive and fragile skin under the eyes.

What I love about these masks is that they have a special sticky backing that actually lets the eye masks adhere to the eyes and they wore for about half an hour.

Repurchase: Maybe...

BioRepublic Skincare Cucumber Breeze Soothing Fiber Mask ~ 1 mask for $7.00 (full size set is 3 masks for $21.00). These soothing sheet masks bring the spa to us via natural cucumber extract, plumping plant collagen, and healing vitamin E.

This was fine - it smelled quite fresh like artificial cucumber. This was a little dry and didn't last or wear very long.
Repurchase: Nah...

Memebox Sugar Kitten Mask ~ sample (full size is $23.00 US). A peel-off mask infused with real ruby and pearl powder starts out a shimmering iridescent emerald color then transforms into a soft holographic pink upon application.

I won't talk too much about these masks as I do have review coming - but this surprisingly smelled like roses (it has rose water in it) and for a peel off mask, it left my skin quite hydrated after using it! Plus, it's so fun!
Repurchase: We'll see when I use it up!

Memebox I Dew Care Disco Kitten Mask ~ sample (full size is $23.00 US). This shimmering I DEW Care Disco Kitten Mask from MEMEBOX is definitely out of this world. 20 minutes is all you need with this techy, peel-off mask to pamper your face with the queen of all royal treatments.

Ah, this mask is so fun - I have been wanting to try this for so long! I actually went to Ulta in January in hopes of getting it and it was sold out! Then, they started shipping to Canada so I had to wait for a few more things to buy and then I finally got it! But, this was a peel off mask that is supposed to brighten the skin and I thought it did an okay job. Again, I will share more in a recent review!
Repurchase: I still have more uses!

Apto Healing Turmeric Mask ~ sample (full size is $16.00 US). Detoxify and clear pores with this effective yet lightweight mask. Suitable for any skin type to treat blemishes, breakouts and rosacea flare ups.

This is from my Ipsy bag and it is meant to clear and brighten the skin! You can use it as a full mask or as a spot treatment on trouble areas. I will be reviewing this soon as well, so I will save more details for my review.
Repurchase: We'll see!

GlamGlow BubbleSheet Oxygenated Deep Cleanse Mask ~ $12.00 CAN. A first-of-its-kind oxygenating deep cleanse mask with Green Tea Teaoxi® that works to reveal glowing skin.

I did a full review on this mask - you can check it out here! I thought this fit well, and the bubbling was subtle. I thought my skin felt clear and cleansed after using this. I would use this prior to event to really clear out the skin, but for $12 for 1 sheet mask is pricey!
Repurchase: Yes, sparingly

So, I also used 9 masks - this isn't as much masks as I'd like to be using; but, it is an improvement from previous months!
