Ever since I purchased this adorable Forest Cuties stamping plate, I have been waiting for the perfect time to finally put it to use! I'm still a bit of a beginner with nail stamping, so I need some more stamping practice - I'm really going to try and do it more often!
Since the seasons are currently changing, this week choice for the #CBBxManiMonday theme was easy - Fall! So make sure you check out Jayne from Cosmetic Proof, Trysh from Prairie Beauty Love, and Eithne of Tea & Nail Polish to see their take on our weekly theme!
The products I used for this week's Mani are:
-Maniology (previously Bundle Monster) Mystic Woods Forest Cuties stamping plate
-Stamping scraper, stamper, and nail art polish
-Essie Gel Couture Polish in Sage You Love Me and Top Coat
-Formula X nail cleanser and base coat
-Square Hue polish in King Street
-Kiss orange nail art polish
-Teeez polish Pretty in Pyrite
For this week's Manicure, I started with 2 coats of Sage Green polish as a base coat. With a brown polish, I stamped the animals and their background on to my nails, then with the orange nail art polish, I filled in the animals. And to finish it off, I added a little touch of gold glitter to each animal.
I really wanted to reverse stamp these - I think that's where you fill in the stamped pattern before you stamp it on the nail; but, I couldn't quite get it! If you have any reverse stamping tips, I would love to hear them!
Even though I'm still getting the hang of the stamping, I love how cute these little Fall Forest Friends turned out - I think they are super cute! And these polish colours have me thinking about Fall!
Make sure you check out Cosmetic Proof, Prairie Beauty Love, and Tea & Nail Polish to see their take on "End of Summer" for their manis this week!
