Mask Wednesday - Belif Aqua Bomb Sheet Mask!

Happy Mask Wednesday - I was super excited to see Belif start coming to Canada (you can find Belif products in stores at The Face Shop locations). So, I have been slowly trying to try new products!

One of their most well known products is the "The True Cream - Aqua Bomb" (which I love!), so when I saw an Aqua Bomb sheet mask I HAD to try it!

Mask Wednesday - Belif Aqua Bomb Sheet Mask!

Belif Aqua Bomb Sheet Mask ~ $11.00 CAN. Our belief to provide instant hydration with extra care for dry skin. This sheet mask is infused with a blend of The true cream-Aqua bomb’s powerful hydrating ingredients and instantly provides an explosion of hydration to quench parched, dehydrated skin.

The dual pouch-type mask includes an essence and a sheet in separate compartments to ensure the sheet mask is freshly drenched in the essence formula upon breaking the pouch. When you need instant and intensive hydration, break the belif Aqua bomb sheet mask.

This is a pricier mask in my opinion - $11 for one use, it better work great! My hopes are high because as I said, I'm a fan of the Aqua Bomb cream!

The packaging for this mask is a litter different then most sheet masks - the essence and the mask itself are separate in the package. Before you use it, you have to pop the package open between the two and then massage the essence in to the mask before applying the mask to your face!

I have to be honest - this was not an easy step! This package was not easy to squeeze open (it took me a few minutes and I almost had to ask my husband to help - there may have been a few choice words used as well!) But really, to me a sheet mask should not be this much work!

Once you go through the trouble of getting the mask together, applying it is just like any other sheet mask! Wash your face, apply toner, apply mask and wear for 10-20 minutes, remove mask, pat remaining essence in to skin and complete skincare routine!

This mask did get fully soaked in essence and applied well to my face - the fit was a little big; but, it did smooth out well. This lasted about 25 minutes (and this was a stretch) and left me wanting more from it! The essence seemed to absorb really quickly in to my skin and I think this was part because the essence hadn't absorbed in to the mask for that long!

This mask was supposed to specifically deliver hydration and my skin and my skin did not feel extra moisturized or anything - really not even a touch more moisturized than before. I was really let down by this mask! I still love Belif products, but I would not buy this again. Bummer.

  1. Ah, what a bummer! If the mask worked really well the fiddly application might have been worth it. Tony Moly sheet masks are my favourite- they stay moist on my skin for ages and are super hydrating :)

    1. Yes, I agree - I wish it was worth the hassle! I will work for it if a mask is good! I have only tried a couple Tony Moly masks - I need to try more!
