Mask Wednesday - The Face Shop Dr. Belmeur Daily Repair Soothing Gauze Sheet Mask Review

I have reviewed The Face Shop Dr. Belmeur Daily Repair line and it has quickly become some of my favorite products! You can see my review on the Daily Repair products here and the moisturizer made my July Monthly Favorites too! 

They just released a face mask for this Daily Repair line, so I had to try it! 

The Face Shop Dr. Belmeur Daily Repair Soothing Gauze Sheet Mask ~ $6.00. A low-irritant calming and moisturizing mask sheet with lansil, an excellent moisturizer that keeps skin hydrated and cool for a long time. Daily low-irritant moisturizing solution: Contains phytoshpingosine, moroheiya, birch tree sap and Skin-sync Rx™ which helps form a moisture layer to calm dry skin.

The whole Dr. Belmeur line is formulated "without 9 additives: parabens, synthetic pigments, triethanolamine, mineral oil, benzophenone-3, animal-derived ingredients, propylene glycol, talc, benzoic acid. Allergen-free fragrance: formulated without 26 types of additives with possible allergens."

This is meant to keep the line as a low-irritant and calming like. The Daily Repair line is designed for dry, sensitive skin, so it is perfect for my skin! 

This mask is straight-forward to use: wash face, tone skin, apply mask to face, wear for 15-20 minutes, remove mask, pat remaining essence in to skin, and complete skincare routine. 

This mask was a really weird texture - I know it's referred to as a gauze mask; but, gauzy isn't the first texture that comes to my mind. This doesn't mean it's bad - it was closer to a lighter gel texture mask - it fit and adhered pretty well to my skin and I did like it. It also had no scent which is great if you are sensitive to scent this won't be a concern. 

This lasted about 40 minutes on my face and then it started to partially dry which made it a little itchy (must be the different texture). When I took it off, my skin wasn't itchy or irritated at all. This mask actually made my skin instantly glowing, but the essence did leave a bit of a sticky film over my face. This is fine as I wear my masks before I go to bed, but if you are a day mask wearer, this might not be the greatest! My skin felt really moisturized and the following morning felt very hydrated and soft!
