June 2016 - Monthly Empties (and a couple tosses)

I have turned in to one of those people who loves empties posts - mostly because I love looking back on each product I used and see if I loved it or not! I have a ton of products and I can sometimes forget about something I love, but not with my handy garbage posts!

So, I hope you guys like it too! Here is a look at what I used in June:
June 2016 - Monthly Empties

Pixi Glow Tonic ~ sample size (full size is $15 US each). This exfoliating toner helps to brighten the complexion resulting in a healthy glow. Formulated with 5% glycolic acid, Glow Tonic exfoliates, brightens and smoothes the skintone and texture. Aloe vera, ginseng, and botanical extracts work together to nourish and treat your skin revealing an improved complexion. Alcohol-free and gentle on all skin types.

I quite like this toner, but I don't use is too often, maybe a couple times a week. This toner is not available in Canada and I got this little sample in a swap. Last time I was in the States, I actually got 2 because I had heard it was such a holy grail product. I like it, but this little bottle was hard to tell how good it is for my skin.
Repurchase: Already have!

Bath Time Box Rose & Aloe Toner ~ $7.50. Oh how we love Rose Water on our summer kissed skin. Combine that with the super soothing Aloe and Vitamin E and you have a gentle, alcohol free toner that tightens and soothes at the same time. This unscented toner is suitable for application on sunburned skin as well as the freshly cleansed face.

Now this is my holy grail toner - there is something about this rose water toner that my skin can just not get enough of! I received this in a Bath Time Box last Summer featured this on my September Favorites! It is amazing! So gentle on the skin!
Repurchase: Yes, already have!

Baviphat Lemon Whitening Sleeping Pack ~ sample (full size is $14-$19). An overnight mask formulated with Vitamin C rich lemon extract suppresses melanin formation and prevent hyper-pigmentation. Arbutin then hastens skin whitening for a fairer complexion with beautifully even skin tone. Uniformly apply mask on cleansed skin before going to bed. Wash off in the morning. Regular use of sleeping mask diminishes the appearance of dark spots and freckles.

How cute is this adorable little sample?! Honestly though, it only gave me a few uses so it was a little hard to tell if I got any real benefits from this sleeping mask. I did like it, but if I had to repurchase, I actually like the apple sleeping mask from the same brand a little better!
Repurchase: Likely not

Avene Eau Thermale Soothing Moisture Mask ~ sample (full size is $27.91). Normal to sensitive skin. Tired, dull, lack luster skin Reactive skin (Redness, tightness, sunburn). Benefits: Rich, creamy, non-setting mask soothes over stressed skin. Replenishes moisture to dehydrated skin and helps restore skin's barrier. Deeply penetrates skin to restore suppleness as it minimizes redness.

I have shown this mask on quite a few Month in Masks posts - I'm surprised by how many uses I got out of this little sample - this is a rinse of moisture mask that helps with redness. This has been okay, but nothing standout on my skin.
Repurchase: No

Bath Time Box Silky Smooth Skin Cream - Rose Infused Facial Cream ~ $14.50. This ultra-silky cream helps rejuvinate the skin while it moisturizes. Evening Primrose and Rosehip oil are widely used to promote new cell regeneration while the AHA sloughs off dead skin cells, leaving the complexion brighter and more even while improving skin elasticity. The jumbo 1 oz size will last you for months!

Another amazing Rose skin product from Bath Time Box (and Store!) - I have featured this gem on my January Favorites and posted a full review about here if you are interested. This lasted quite a while and a little goes a long way! My skin love roses apparently and this worked so well! It was moisturizing and softening and had a nice gentle scent!
Repurchase: Yes - I need to right away!

Vichy Aqualina Thermal Extra Sensitive Soothing Ultra-Calming Care ~ $39.50. Soothing care for extra-sensitive to allergy prone skin caused by external aggressions. 0% preservatives, parabens, alcohol, colourant.

Another really great moisturizer - I featured this on my December Favorites and wrote a full review about it here! This was very moisturizing and worked so well for my skin! Especially in the Winter time, my skin really benefited from how gentle and soothing this was!
Repurchase: Yes, for next Winter!

The Face Shop Clean Face Anti-Imperfections Patches ~ $2. These practical patches reduce the appearance of pimples as soon as they occur. Gentle on skin, they are easy to apply at any moment to fight against unexpected breakouts!

Another favorite product finished this month - I featured this on my April Favorites! These handy little things are amazing - put them on a pimple before bed time and I notice a huge difference in the morning! Seriously, for $2 I stock up on these!
Repurchase: Yes, already have!

June 2016 - Monthly Empties

Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid in "Awakened" ~ Sample size (full size is $55). A revolutionary medium-to-full coverage skin care foundation fluid powered by 100 percent pure argan oil and nutrient-rich pigments for vibrant, glowing skin.

I got this as an add-on for a Sephora purchase and didn't have a ton of colour selection so this wasn't quite my shade. Quite a few people have raved about this foundation, but I really didn't like the coverage I got - I found it to be streaky and weird on my skin.
Repurchase: No

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Push-Up Liner in "Beyond Brown" ~ deluxe sample (full size is $31.00). Benefit They’re Real! Push-Up Liner is the first foolproof and budge-proof gel eyeliner in a pen. This eyeliner’s soft AccuFlex™ tip is custom-angled to draw an easy line. Its flat, wide guard gently pushes lashes aside to get close to lash line.

This isn't a total empty, but it dried up on me! Ugh, I don't like that - I have a ton of eyeliners so I don't wear the same one all of the time. I tried to get rid of the top product and see if there was any good underneath and it did not work. Anyways, I did like the eyeliner, but this probably is not my favorite applicator. I did find it a little hard to use and usually ended up putting the product on my hand and using a brush.
Repurchase: No, but I actually do have a back up

Mereadesso Lip Tinted Lip Treats in "Sheer Burgundy" ~ $14.00 ($28.00 for 2). Give your lips a reason to pucker up. Lip Treats is a lush new series of tinted lip balms that perk up any pout. Made with evening primrose, grape seed, coconut and sunflower oils — then enhanced with Vitamins C and E — they’re a luscious moisturizer with a hint of colour to dress up everything you say. Sold by the pair in several sheer neutral shades.

I believe I won this in a giveaway and I liked the colour - it was nice and sheer but still deep. This seriously dried up so fast, I went to use and it was all dry and lumpy and not good. So, toss.
Repurchase: No

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Push-Up Liner in "Black" ~ deluxe sample (full size is $31.00).

I don't know if you can tell from this photo, but this broke on me - the whole thing won't go back together. Also, the eyeliner dried up as well. Again, decent eyeliner formula but not my favorite applicator.
Repurchase: No

It Cosmetics - Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50 in "Medium" ~ sample size 0.135 oz for $2.85 (full size is 1.8 oz for $38). CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ is truly a multi-tasking beauty miracle. It's a full-coverage Color Correcting Cream, Anti-Aging serum, plus Broad Spectrum Physical Only SPF 50+ all in one! The SPF 50+ UVA/UVB Physical Only sunscreen protects against the rays that both burn and age your skin. CC+ is infused with cutting edge anti-aging technology and is clinically proven to improve skin texture, brightness and increase skin hydration by 79%.

I got this sample in a past Ipsy bag, and really liked this CC cream. I thought it provided good coverage and looked good on my skin! I wish that It Cosmetics was easier to find in Canada as I am a fan of their products!
Repurchase: Yes, I think I will get some on my next US vacation

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in "Medium Light Neutral" ~ $34.00. This concealer from Urban Decay lets you cover imperfections without looking covered up. It’s easily blendable and buildable, giving you even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra-lightweight, this high-tech liquid formula never settles into fine lines, and it melds on for a no makeup look while full coverage in an instant.

Another holy grail product - this concealer is amazing! It is lightweight so it doesn't sit heavy under the eyes but covers well! I featured this on my July Favorites and have used one up previously as well! Sooo good!
Repurchase: YES! I need to ASAP

BH Cosmetics #116 Flat Blending Face Brush ~ $2 (only comes in a set of 10 for $20).  An artist is only as good as her tools, and our 10-piece Sculpt and Blend Brush Set is the ultimate toolkit for foolproof contouring, shading and illuminating your features.

Another really great product finished - I mean look at this poor little brush! Wahhh.... this isn't actually for sale alone, it comes in a 10 piece set that is really reasonably priced! I have actually featured this brush on my November Favourites and I really loved this for foundation.
Repurchase: Eventually, but for now I have the rest of the set and other good foundation brushes.

June 2016 - Monthly Empties

British High Tea Soap ~ $3.00.

I bought this off of someone selling handmade soaps on an auction site - I have tried a couple other types she has made but this one is not good. I couldn't even use it all - it ended up in the garbage. It just had crazy big tea chunks and blah.
Repurchase: No!

Mini Shea Body Butter ~ travel size 50ml for $6.00. This super-rich and creamy Body Butter is a feast for the skin. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. It contains Community Fair Trade shea butter and has a delicious nutty scent.

This came in my Body Shop Advent calendar - I like the body butters and think they are very moisturizing! I am actually not a big fan of the Shea butter scent particularly.
Repurchase: Not this scent, but other body butters, yes

Derma E Hydrating Scrub ~ sample size 1 oz for $5.00 (full size is 4 oz for $20.00). As much as we love the deep-cleaning power of scrubs, sometimes they leave our skin in need of a little TLC. This dermatologist-approved exfoliator does double-duty, gently sloughing away dead skin, dirt, and excess oils with walnut shell powder while moisturizing and reviving the complexion with vitamin A and hyaluronic acid. Two skincare steps in one easy-peasy product? We’re sold.

I received this in a past Birchbox - it was fine, but nothing amazing. I personally thought the scrub was a little too fine and did not do too much.
Repurchase: No

Dead Seas Salt Scrub ~ $9.50. This scrub is a treat indeed! Dead Sea Salts blended with super loving oils with just a hint of Honeydew Natural Fragrance. Scoop some in to your pouf and scrub away impurities.

Now this is a good scrub! And the scent is soooo amazing (like bubbalicious bubble gum)!!! It makes you want to eat the container! This is a nice thick scrub and worked so well! Love!
Repurchase: Yes, I'm going to have to put in a Bath Time Store order! (although this looks sold out!)

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo ~ travel size 1.8 oz for $16.00. A dry shampoo that absorbs oil, sweat, and odor for ultra-clean hair, plus a time-release fragrance that delivers a light, clean scent all day.

Another favorite done - I seem to have a theme this month! I featured this on my April Favorites. I have not tried a lot from Living Proof, but this is amazing!
I am in love with this dry shampoo - it goes on nice and softly (doesn't come out too fast which I find from some other dry shampoos) and has a nice smell. It doesn't leave a white cast and rubs well in to hair!
Repurchase: Yes!

Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume ~ $9.95. Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume refreshes your hair while also boosting your hair volume and adding body and texture to your dull, limp hair.

I don't mind the regular Batiste dry shampoo, but I was not a fan of this dry shampoo. I thought that this left a huge white cast and just didn't work well for my hair (and I have thin hair so I would need this...)
Repurchase: No

Bausch + Lomb Sensitive Eyes Multi-purpose Solution ~ $10.99. Sensitive eyes multi-purpose solution cleans, rinses and disinfects soft contact lenses. contact lens solution for your sensitive eyes.

This isn't very exciting I know, but I wear contacts and this is the only contact solution I use. It works well for me.
Repurchase: Yes, already did

Bath and Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in "Winter Candy Apple" ~ $6.50.

First of all, I hope no one actually pays regular price for these soaps - I think they are always on sale. This was a winter scent and it was delicious as I think most scents are.
Repurchase: Yes, I just grab whatever scents they have at the time

June 2016 - Monthly Empties

Formula X Nail Cleanser ~ $13.00. A gentle, non-drying cleanser that preps your nails for optimal base coat and color application.

I love this nail cleanser - I have noticed a difference in my nails and how long my polishes last since I have started using a nail cleanser!
Repurchase: Yes, already have!

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Colour in "Lacey Lilac" ~ $2.50.

I love Sally Hansen nail polishes - they are affordable and last on my nails with little chipping.
Repurchase: Likely, it looks like this colour is no longer available but I did like it! (But I will repurchase this brand and something similar to this shade).

Ciaté London Mini Paint Pot Nail Polish in "Halo", "Cabaret", "Magic Carpet", and "Ladylike Luxe" ~ $10.50 each. Upgrade your nail polish to this powerfully pigmented, plumping, and high-shine formula with a gel-wear finish.

I received these in a Ciate advent calendar and I have used all of them, but these 4 all dried out. I really like the Ciate formula, but was unimpressed by how quick they dried out (maybe it's not that quick because these are probably 2 years old but I have had a lot of polishes last much longer)
Repurchase: Maybe, none of these colours had me rushing to replace them!

Absolute! New York Nail Polish Remover Pads ~ full size 32 pads for $2.99. Change your mani as often as you change your mood with these pocket-sized handy nail polish remover pads.

I received these quite a while ago in a Beauty Box 5 - they are terrible (I only used them because I was in a big pinch), but they are not good. They don't remove very much polish and they are greasy and gross.
Repurchase: NO

Joe Nail Polish Remover Non-Acetone ~ $4.

This is kind of my go to nail polish remover - it works well and is inexpensive.
Repurchase: Yes, already have!

June 2016 - Monthly Empties

T.P.O. no-wash toner sheet ~ $14. Use for quick makeup touch ups, or removing makeup residue. No need to double wash or rinse after use.

I got these in a Memebox a long time ago and actually forgot about them. I tried to use them on my face and they didn't work well so I switched to using them to remove makeup swatches and that didn't work the greatest either.
Repurchase: No

June 2016 - Monthly Empties

Bath Time Box Flower Garden Bath Bomb ~ $5.00. Our super-duper bath bomb in a glorious flower garden scent. Soak in the tub and dream of blooming flowers.

How cute is this little heart bomb?! This was floral smelling, but not over powering which is good. I don't mind flowery scents as long as they are subtle. I love the formula of Bath Time Box bombs, they last quite a while and I like that!
Repurchase: Maybe not this scent, but yes to other bath bombs!

June 2016 - Monthly Empties

Bath Time Box Lavender Bath Bomb ~ $5.00. Our super-duper bath bomb with all natural lavender essential oil and lavender buds. Perfect to destress after a long day.

Now this probably has to be one of my favorite bath bombs!!! So good! It had just the right amount of lavender scent to calm and relax and had some lavender flakes in the bomb as well. This last quite a while and was awesome!
Repurchase: Yes!

June 2016 - Monthly Empties

Lush Sakura Bath Bomb ~ $6.55. When the blossoms burst forth in spring, it’s a tradition to take a picnic and bottle of sake and enjoy the beauty. Noriko, one of our product inventors, hails from Japan and this beautiful Bath Bomb represents what it’s like to be in a park while the breeze blows through the blossoms in the trees. Instead of heading to the park, lay back in serene waters while the gorgeous scents of mimosa and jasmine envelop you to give you the joyful feeling of springtime. Sakura: simple, elegant, and enduringly beautiful bathing.

Sorry, you get my Snapchat photo with this one (I forgot to take a normal picture!) This came in the Mother's Day set I believe and it was good - I thought it was nice and fresh smelling!
Repurchase: Likely

Woo hoo - I used up 34 products in June! And, I really went through a ton of favorites this month so I have a things to repurchase soon!

  3. I still need to try those acne patches from tfs! I love that contact lens solution too lol. I've heard that it cosmetics can be purchased from the shopping channel. They have a website too, so you don't have to call to order. I think a few weeks ago they were selling an it cosmetics set with the cc cream and Concealer.
