Monthly Pedicure (Pumpkin Nail Art Toes) + Manicure Monday (Owl Nail Art Nails)

My poor nails and toes took quite the beating while in the ocean for 2 straight weeks - salt water does not do the nails any good!!!

Also, I'm so sorry my picture quality is crappy - we broke both of our cameras while on holidays so I am only using my phone while I find an old camera to charge up!

I am excited to get home to Fall and now my nails can be part of the season! Here is my Monthly Pedicure - Pumpkin Nail Art Toes!

Here are the products I used this month:

  • Color Club in "Poetic Hues" (beige)
  • Sally Hansen in "Sun Kissed" (light orange)
  • Ciate polish in "Speed Dial" (dark orange)
  • L.A. Colors Art Deco Green Nail Art Polish
  • Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat
  • Nail Art Brush
  • not pictured - Formula X Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
Here are the steps I followed for this Pedicure:
1. Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
2. Paint 1 coat of beige polish on the big toe nail

3. Paint 2 coats of dark orange polish on the remaining toes

4. Using nail art brush and light orange polish, make the shape of a pumpkin (two curved lines to meet in the middle)

5. Using the light orange polish, fill in the pumpkin

6. Let dry. Use the nail art brush and dark orange polish, create lines on the pumpkin from top to bottom

7. Use the green nail art brush, and create a stem
8. Let dry and add top coat

And, to keep up the Fall theme I am going to do Owl Nail Art!

Here are the products I used for this month's Manicure:

  • Nail Art Brushes
  • Nail Dotter
  • Kiss Black Nail Art Polish
  • Ciate polish in "Talent Scout" (purple)
  • NCLA in "Santa Monica Shore Thing" (teal)
  • Color Club polish in "poetic hues" (beige)
  • Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat
  • not pictured - Formula X nail cleanser and base coat
  • also, not pictured - light orange polish
Here are the steps I followed for this week's Manicure:
1. Nail Cleanser and Base Coat
2. Using a nail art brush with the teal polish, create a half-moon and fill in the nail - this will create the ears for the owl. (I am only doing 1 owl, but you can do as many as you like). I filled in the rest of the nails with 2 coats of teal polish.

3. Using nail art brush and purple polish, create a half circle to create a "stomach" on the owl

4. Fill in the circle with purple polish. Also, using a dotting tool and the beige polish (or white polish) and create two eyes on the owl.

5. Using the black nail art polish, create pupils on the owl. Additionally, using the nail art brush and light orange polish create a beak on the owl.

6. Using the dotting tool, I dotted the other nails with purple and beige.

I love these owls!!! They are so cute!!
