June 2015 Topbox - Canadian Beauty Subscription Review

TopBox is a Canadian Beauty Box Subscription - for $12 CDN a month with free shipping, you will receive 4 deluxe sample size or full size products. You fill out a beauty profile and generally receive products based on what you have identified in the profile. Also, every month you have the option to wish for a "prive" box, which is a box that focuses on one brand or product for the whole box.

TopBox is a Canadian company and only ships to Canada. The only downside to subscribing to TopBox is that there is a wait-list that can take a month or two to get off of.

**Of note, Luxebox emailed it's subscribers recently to say they had merged with Topbox (I had cancelled Luxebox prior to this), but seeing reviews of both boxes, they are sending the same products in both boxes**

For June, I opted for the regular Topbox. Here's a look:

Topbox always come in it's signature purple mailer.

A sheet mask - woo hoo!! Topbox always includes a detailed product card:

Here is a closer look at the products I received:
Fruits & Passion Aloe Face Mask ~ $2.50. This refreshing Face Mask contains an essence specially formulated to improve the appearance of your skin. Your skin is moisturized, softened and more luminous. Enriched with aloe extract known for its hydrating and soothing properties.
I haven't seen much from Fruits and Passion in a long time - most of their stores have been changed over to The Face Shop (but they are still associated companies). This mask is made in Korea, and this pouch also contained a coupon for a free target solution. I am excited to try this mask!

I have to confess, I saw a picture of Luxebox last week and saw this mask in the picture - I went straight to the website and ordered a few already for myself!!! (I wish I had seen this coupon last week!)

Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in "Video Killed The Radio Star" ~ full size $20. Blue doesn’t get any brighter than this. Pop it on for nails that are borderline electric.
This color is from the Summer 2014 80's Throwback collection - I really like this color! So great for Summer - I will be wearing this on my toes soon!!

Paula's Choice Skincare - Clinical KP Treatment Cloths ~ 10 cloths for $14.00. (currently on sale for $7) Wipe your KP woes away. And banish "bacne", too. These easy-to-use keratosis pilaris wipes get rid of those little red bumps (aka chicken skin) and reveal smooth, even skin anywhere on the body.
I received these in the December 2014 LuxeBox - I tried them then and didn't find them amazing - they are super strong smelling. I will likely give these another shot this summer!

Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation ~ sample size $0. A featherweight foundation that combines the benefits of BB and foundation with light to medium coverage.
This sample came with a small amount of 4 different colors of foundation - I check my Sephora skin matches and no colors included were a match for me (I may keep a few incase I get a tan this summer), but this is the smallest sample I have ever seen Topbox include).

For $12, I received 4 products (2 full sized) with a total value of $36.50. Over this box was good - I am happy with the nail polish and sheet mask, I will use the KP wipes even though they aren't my favorite and may try and use the foundation if I can.

What did you think of the June Topbox? What did you get this month?

  1. You get a better Topbox than me. I was kind of meh about mine. I got a couple very tiny Aveda shampoo and conditioner bottles, a China Glaze pink polish, and some nail stickers. You seem like you got a very nice box this month.

    1. I'm certainly happy with the polish ans mask! I have heard Aveda is a great brand - but I hate when samples are too small (just like this foundation....)
