June 2015 Beauteque Mask Maven - Face Mask Subscription Review

Beauteque is an American company that focuses on creating a beauty bag subscription featuring Asian Beauty products. Beauteque launched their original "BB Bag" Subscription in January of this year and their "Mask Maven" was just launched in March - this is their 3rd bag!

The Mask Maven subscription is described as:

"The Mask Maven is a luxurious subscription service offering a lovely assortment of masks each month to keep your skin smooth, soft, and spectacular.
You will receive all kinds of masks including face sheet masks, hand and feet masks, hair masks, wash off masks, and more."

Beauteque Mask Maven is $15 monthly - if you sign up for a longer subscription, you can save a little money: $14 per month if you sign up for 6 months, or $13 per month if you sign up for 12 months. Shipping per month is $3.95 for the U.S., $5.95 to Canada, and $8.95 to Europe. Each month you can expect to receive 9-11 masks of all varieties.

So I initially signed up for 3 months, which was was supposed to end in May and while I liked the masks, I had received a ton of repeats and the subscription seemed a little disorganized. I was planning on cancelling (I love Mask Genie and don't really need 2 masks subscriptions every month) but I forgot, so it renewed for the next 3 months. I really hope that this subscription improves from the last 3 months!

Here is a look at the June 2015 Mask Maven:

I love that they included a little note saying they are taking their subscribers comments in to account! Another amazing thing is they included a product card this month!

This month we received 9 masks - all sheet masks. Here is a closer look at the products:

Nature Republic Avocado Mask Sheet ~ $1.65. This mask fills dehydrated skin with ample moisture.
Yay - I really love most Nature Republic products, so I am happy to try this - sounds nice and moisturizing!

Nature Republic Royal Jelly Mask Sheet ~ $1.99. Increases skin absorption potential. Hydrates with nutrients and moisturize with natural ingredient essences.
I don't mind seeing 2 masks from the same brand as they are different "types".

3W Clinic Fresh Pomegranate Mask Sheet ~ $1.20 (10 for $12). With its excellent cleaning and astringent effects, it will leave your skin looking moisturized and clean. This hypoallergenic mask sheet stays attached to the face along with the natural skin texture, and will provide a soothing comfort for your skin.
I have received this mask before - but not from Beauteque! I got it in my May Mask Genie pouch (and I haven't tried it yet)! But I enjoy pomegranate masks, so I am sure I will like this.

3W Clinic Red Ginseng Mask Sheet ~ $1.80. This is sheet-type mask containing red ginseng extracts and a variety of aesthetic ingredients. It will improve your skin that lost it's elasticity, leaving it smooth and vibrant. This hypoallergenic mask sheet stays attached to the face and will provide a soothing comfort for your skin with its cleaning and astringent effects.
My one experience using a Red Ginseng mask did not go great, but it was a different brand. I am going to try this one and hope it is better.

It's Skin Blueberry Mask ~ $1.99. Re-vitalize and moisturize with real blueberries! The mask is saturated with intense moisture serum formulated with blueberry extract.
I haven't used too many blueberry masks yet, so I am looking forward to this one!

Tosowoong Pure Propolis Mask ~ $2.29. Significant moisture: It moisturize and soften skin. Whitening + Anti-wrinkle: It is a dual functional product for whitening and anti-wrinkle which is made with ingredients from Niacinamide, Adenocine, etc. Upgraded in adhesion: It is adhesive and large enough to stick to your face perfectly and provides full comport for nourishing and hydrating. Large capacity: It weighs 23g that contains a full bottle of high enriched essence.
I have really liked items from Tosowoong, so I am excited to use this mask!

The Face Shop Sparkling Wine Sheet Mask ~ $7.55 (found in stores for $3). Brightening and Lifting effect. Offers deep hydration and nutrients to your skin.
I actually bought this mask on my first trip to The Face Shop store - and I did a review on it here! I really liked it!

My Beauty Diary Imperial Bird's Nest Mask ~ $1.99. This mask provides the skin with nourishing and moisturizing nutrients. It moisturizes dry skin, feels soft and supple like a baby's skin. The enhanced hydration meets the ultimate needs of the skin and nourishing. The combination of rare elements from the sky, the extraction of 'Swiftlet's nest', and the extraction of deep-sea plant, 'coralline', with the reputation of 'submarine bird's nest' gives the skin this superb gourmet feast. It deeply improves skin hydration, provides rich nourishment and energy, heals dry and expression fine lines, erases dullness and roughness, and makes skin translucent, tender and smooth.
I have never tried a bird's nest mask before, but I have heard people swear by the benefits of bird's nest - so I am curious to try it!

Medicos V Essential Mask - Pure Snail ~ $3.00. Snail extract penetrates deep into skin to give nutrition and elasticity to firm the skin. Skins remains moisturized all day long.
I loooove snail anything - masks especially!! I am going to use this one right away!

This month's Beauteque's Mask Maven subscription came with 9 sheet masks, with a total value of $23.46. I never expect a huge value out of a mask subscription, as long as I get around what I paid. Mask subscriptions are more about the curation and trying new masks, as opposed to overall value of the products.

I do have to say, I am much happier with this month and there was some much needed improvements to this subscription that have happened! I am happy I renewed for 3 months as I am happy with where Mask Maven is headed!!

Did you get the June Mask Maven? What did you think of this month's bag?
