So the Nina Garcia quarterly box is something I have been (impatiently) waiting for ever since the reviews on #NGQ02! This box looked simply amazing but is a little pricey! It is $100 US per quarter, with $20 shipping, and a one time $8 handling fee ($140.67 with the exchange rate).
Here is the first look at all the goodies in my Nina Garcia #NGQ03 box:
Wowee, all I can say is there is a LOT of stuff in this box!
Here is a closer look at what I got:
Palm Tree Print Clutch by Print All Over Me ~ estimated value $20 (the tote bags are $28 on the Print All Over Me website). This is so summery and cute! I will make use of this, probably not as a clutch but a big makeup bag/travel bag etc.
Koku Pouch ~ 80 pounds, about $136 US. Featuring Rafia fringe with a plexiglass shark decoration. So this was one of the items everyone was up in arms about in the reviews - I am in agreement about this one, not a big fan. It is fun and very summery but I am probably not brave enough to use this as a clutch!
So I guess 2 pouch/canvas bag in one box is maybe 1 too many but I will gift or sell one of them -no big deal!
Surya Brasil Sapien Women - Vegan & Natural Shave Gel ~ full size $20.39. This is sticking with the Brasil theme and including a Brasil brand that is vegan and all natural. This product smells so good and I am looking forward to using it!
Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Spray Sunscreen SPF 30 ~ full size $8.39. Again one of the items people hated - to me sometimes you don't want the most practical items in a style box; however, I cannot complain as this will get used up!
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray ~ purse size 2.2 oz for $21.50. An alternative to dry shampoo - helps to absorb oil and add volume. I have never heard of this but it looks like an award winner and the reviews seem great - I am excited to try it!
Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrator ~ 8.5 oz for $19.99. A hydrating treatment - restores moisture to dry and damaged hair - I used to use K-pak quite a bit and am happy to use this leave in conditioning treatment.
Formula X for Sephora in "Push The Limits" ~ full size $13. Described as a tomato pink. Again I like getting new nail polish colors in my boxes so I am really happy and will use this color for sure.
Calvin Klein CK One Pure Color Lipstick in "Speakeasy" ~ full size $16. Here is a closer look at the color:
The reviews look great on this long-lasting lipstick; however; I am not a lipstick person! I am definately more of a lipgloss person and this color is a little darker than I like to go! I am not going to try this on so I can gift it!
Melissa Desk Ornament ~ estimated value $5. Okay I know this is a little item but I like that Nina has companies design little goodies for her box - you can't buy these! Melissa is a brazillian shoe designer that focuses on rubber shoes (sticking with the theme). So again some people didn't like this item - but lucky for me I have a shoe themed office at work! This will go great with my show mouse pad and high heel tape dispenser!!
Nest Fragrances Bamboo Votive Candle ~ $14. Scents of bamboo, white florals, & citrus. I always like a selection of candles for my bubblebaths - this smells great!
Red Flower Refreshing Hand & Face Towelette in Italian Blood Orange ~ 0.70 for 1 towellete ($5 for 7 full size). I haven't opened this yet to smell it but I am sure if I throw it in my purse it will get used.
Spenglish Custom Muito Cool Baseball Cap ~ estimated price $20 (there are no caps on the website). Again, I like a "custom" made item. I am not a baseball hat person, but my 9 year old son will happily wear this.
Frends Ella Earbuds in Gold & White ~ $99. Another item people were upset about because they received it in another box 6 months ago. I did not receive it; however, I think some people should be prepared for multiples if they order many boxes - if I had already received these I would be happy to gift $99 earbuds to someone! No big deal - and these are pretty!
So for $140 I received $425 worth of items - so the one thing I really enjoy about the Nina Garcia boxes is that the value is guaranteed to be well worth what you paid! I really enjoy that her items are risky and some are hits and misses - I think these boxes are awesome! The only thing that slightly irked me is that because I am in Canada I had to pay for shipping on a free item! All in all I am very happy with my first Quarterly Box!
Did you get the Nina Garcia box? What did you think?
