Spring 2023 - The Jilly Box Subscription Unboxing

I'm a big fan of Jillian Harris, so when she announced that she was starting a subscription box, I was so excited! The box started with the Winter 2019 box and sadly, I was not one of the lucky originals who won a subscription spot, so I sign up every season and hope to get picked for a lottery spot!

Spring 2023 - The Jilly Box Subscription Unboxing
I purchased this box on my own

The Jilly Box is a quarterly seasonal subscription box - the products within the box include some of Jillian’s (and Team Jilly’s!) favourite items (and brands) from home decor, fashion, bath and beauty, health and wellness, accessories perfect for each season. Some of the items included will be custom designed exclusively for the Jilly Box. The Jilly Box really focuses on including products from small, local businesses while being ethically sourced and inclusive. They also focus on reducing plastic waste and packaging - the big boxes can be turned inside out and reused! Also, they try to include Canadian, woman owned brands, as well as Bipoc and LGBTQ owned brands as well.

The Jilly Box is $199 CAN quarterly + taxes and includes free shipping to Canada and the U.S. And, while this is on the pricier end for a subscription box, it will contain at least $400 worth of products each season! The box is shipped out prior to the start of each season - so the Winter box shipped in mid-November.

The box always includes a little booklet that includes information about each product, recipes, interviews with makers and more! Here is a closer look at all the products in the Spring 2023 Jilly Box:

Spring 2023 - The Jilly Box Subscription Unboxing

Dew of the Gods Filla Under Eye Collagen Pads ~ $28.00 CAN. Keeping the skin around my eyes hydrated and toned is essential to my skin care routine. These Under Eye Collagen Pads are loaded with a mix of hydrogel, collagen, Vitamin C and witch hazel, which helps plump the eyes in just 30 minutes! How amazing is that?! And there's more, they will note slide so you can be sure to get all the results! Each package comes with 10 sets of individually-packed eye pads.

Again, eye masks fit really well in this box - I'm excited to try two products from this brand. Love that there is an option of a retinol mask or these collagen pads, but I love both so I'm happy to try! I love eye masks, so these will be used by me no problem!

Dew of the Gods Filla PWRNAP Retinol Under Eye Mask ~ $50.00 CAN. Dew is a Canadian and LGBTQ+ brand with a mission to change the standards of beauty to represent all body and skin types. When I was first introduced to the PWRNAP I had no idea that it would change my night time routine forever. This slow-release vegan overnight eye mask comes with retinol and Vitamin E, and it's a game changer when it comes to soothing the skin and depuffing under the eyes. I love how it makes me look and feel so fresh every morning!

I've never heard of this brand - but I'm excited that they are Canadian and LGBT owned. I think the branding is a little extra and really cute. This whole box's theme is sleep and calm and these fit in perfect! I love beauty products so these are great for me.

Pomme Salon PommeShell Spa Headband ~ $20.00 CAN. This beautiful headband in a dusty purple colour was intentially designed to protect your hair from makeup and water, all while preventing frizz and static. Made with soft waffle cotton and topped with a cute bow, this daily beauty tool will be sure to make it easier for you to apply makeup, cleanse your face, or go through your nighttime skin routine without getting your hair in the way!

These are really cute - I love a headband for my night routine and I love the waffle knit and the colour! I think this colour was exclusively made for the Jilly box and it matches everything so nicely! I will get lots of use out of this!

Paume Exfoliating Hand Cleanser ~ $30.00 CAN. Before I switched to Paume's line of products, my hands were often dry and cracked. This incredible plant-based exfoliating hand cleanser not only removes impurities but gently polishes the skin and keeps it hydrated. I also love the brand's signature woodsy, citrus and herbaceous scent made from essential oils, which leaves my hands feeling fresh! Plus, it's vegan and made right here in Canada!

I've never heard of this brand before, but this sounds great - love that it's made in Canada and will probably put it in my guest/main floor bathroom. It does smell great. I mean handsoap isn't the most exciting product, but apparently this one is good and it will get used!

Tease Golden Slumbers ~ $22.00 CAN. This Canadian and B Corp brand has me drinking a cup of tea at night! The Golden Slumbers tea is made with peppermint, rooibos, and valerian root to create a calming blend that will guide you from a long day, straight into dreamland. Caffeine Free, each pack contains 15 plant based tea bags that are fully compostable and come in a refillable outer packaging.

I love that this is a Canadian company - I've never heard of them, but always excited to try something new. I certainly prefer decaff tea and my favourite tea is rooibos so I am happy with this! I like that these are compostable - Calgary composts, so it is something that I look for in packaging! Can't wait to try this!

Ela Micro Belt Bag ~ $85.00 CAN. Lightweight, high-quality, and super cute, this vegan leather Micro Belt Bag is the accessory that was missing from your closet! Simple, sophisticated, and super versatile, it can be worn as a cross-body or belt bag thanks to it's adjustable strap available in sizes S/M or L/X:L. Not to mention, it comes in a neutral Dove Pebble colour that matches an outfit, no matter your style. The best part?! Inside each bag you will find Ela's signature purple lining made 100% from recycled plastic bottles.

I picked up the size L/XL and it fits good - I've had smaller bags that don't fit nicely around me. It's a great little bag - I was worried it would be too small from the word micro, but it's a good size for a day out with all the little items you need! This is a great quality bag and it's beautiful, I will get a lot of use out of this!

Pom Pom at Home - Peace and Love Pillow Sham Set ~ $250.00 CAN. You may recognize this Peace and Love Pillow Sham Set, as I've had mine for years and absolutely LOVE them! These embroidered 20x27" shams are a romantic and adorable accent to any bed or couch. They are also made of 100% linen and are machine washable and dryable. Pom Pom at Home provides the marketplace with superior linens and textiles that are sustainably sourced and embody a "lived in" elegant look that is relaxed and casual.

These are the big ticket items in this box - Jillian has had these displayed forever and they are an expensive piece of home decor so it's not something I would have bought for myself, but it is something that I really like so I'm happy to have these!

Fable The Mugs - Set of 2 ~ $37.50 CAN. This set of two ceramic mugs are oh-so-adorable! Designed in Vancouver and crafted in Portugal in a 100% zero-waste facility, each mug holds 16 oz. and is perfect for a hot tea, your favourite latte, or any beverage your heart desires! Made with a lead-free finish in a semi-matte glaze. The mugs are available in blue or cream and are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe!

This is a gorgeous duo of mugs - they are sturdy, big and amazing quality. The colours appear to be unique to the Jilly Box and I got the cream ones. These are certainly a good fit with the tea. I love mugs - I do have a ton, but it's something that I'm not buying them anymore. I love the size of these and can't wait to use these!

Overall, this is a great box - it really fits the sleep and relax theme that's perfect for a Spring reset! While the box is pretty indulgent at $200 a quarter, it did come with a value of $522.50 CAN. I love the bag and the shams are lovely - I'm so excited for the skincare products and the tea and mugs!

Have you tried this subscription box yet?!
