September 2016 Boxycharm - Review and Unboxing

Boxycharm is $21.00 a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items. (This is only the 3rd month they have been shipping to Canada!)

Looking back at past reviews, this box focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! (I personally love all the makeup though and they have sent full size palettes in the past!)

Here is a look at September's Boxycharm:

September 2016 Boxycharm - Review and Unboxing

This month's theme is "Camp Glam"! Boxycharm always includes a product card explaining the products they have received - I like product cards in subscription boxes; it is a lot more convenient than going online right away.

Here is a look at the products included in this month's box:

Studio Makeup - On-The-Go Palette ~ $49.95. On the Go eyeshadow palette is a compilation of shades that updates the bare beauty look with a cosmopolitan attitude. With this elegant palette you can create the prettier, urban makeup look and Go Studio from day to night. The On the Go Eyeshadow Palette includes 9 shades that will boost your confidence all year round.

This is a lovely palette - the colours are neutral but pretty. There is a good mix of shimmers and mattes and I can see this becoming a go to palette! I love that Boxycharm has included this full size palette!

Hikari Cosmetics - Eye Liner in "Raven" ~ $13.00. The perfect mechanical eyeliner that you can smudge for a smoky look or use to define your eyes.

This formula looks really nice, but I personally am not a huge fan of the pencil eyeliner. Even if it is good, I never reach for it over a liquid eye liner.

PUR Cosmetics - Lip Lure in "Fiery" ~ $22.00. Let your lips speak for you with beautifully bold color and brilliant shine! PÜR’s richly pigmented lip lacquers saturate your lips in true colour and pout-perfecting hydration. Using a unique, flocked showerhead applicator, this creamy, full-coverage liquid formula creates a showstopping look in just one stroke!

I just received a red lipstick in last month's box and I didn't rate it very high - I don't wear reds often at all. This looks like a nice product, and I noticed that they sent out a more neutral colour to some subscribers - I may have preferred that shade!

Project Beauty Hairgurt - Smoothing Yogurt Hair Masque ~ $11.00. Wondering when your hair got a mind of its own? Try this creamy, rich treatment with Yogurt Protein, Prebiotics, Quinoa, Our Botanical Oil Blend and Bio-Keratin specifically formulated to help tame unruly, frizzy dry hair. And make friends with your hair again.

This hair mask smells sooo good! I am excited to use it! I have actually received quite a few hair masks in subscriptions lately, so it may take me a little bit to get to, but I am looking forward to trying this.

Vasanti - Professional Foundation Brush ~ $32.00. Specially shaped and designed to work beautifully with Vasanti Liquid Cover Up for flawless, even and natural looking foundation application.

I have become a pretty big brush addict so I am excited to try this! I always switch up what I am using for my foundation so I look forward to testing this out!

Boxycharm came with 5 full sized items with a value of $127.95 - I really love that Boxycharm delivers full sized items and came with a huge value! Boxycharm boxes are generally the same among subscribers, but they do sometimes have a few variable items. This month's box was decent - there are 2 thing I won't use, but I love that they are full size so I can pass them on as gifts. The 3 products I will use are well worth the cost of the box!

I know this is a little more expensive than Ipsy or Topbox, but it seems worth it given what you receive. If you love makeup I would recommend this box.
