September 2016 - Ipsy Glambag Review and Unboxing!

Ipsy is one of the original inexpensive beauty bag sample subscriptions. You receive 4-5 deluxe sample size or full size products each month. The cost is $10 US (+ $4.95 shipping to Canada - you will have to factor in our crazy exchange rate right now!)

Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skincare, nail polish, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month. You also receive a make-up bag each month with your products.

Ipsy always ships out in it's signature pink mailer, and here is a look at what came inside!

September 2016 - Ipsy Glambag Review and Unboxing!
This month's theme is "Glamazon" - Full-on glamour is back. Put away your sweatpants, let down your ponytail and get glammed up just for the hell of it. Woke up like this? As if. I'm not the biggest fan of this bag, personally but it's not a big deal to me; I usually like them.

Here is a look at the goodies I received this month:
September 2016 - Ipsy Glambag Review and Unboxing!

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme ~ travel size 0.05 oz for $17.00. A serum that makes your lips look plumper using the most scientifically proven and advanced technologies.

I love seeing Too Faced included in Ipsy bags! I will say, a few years ago I would have loved this product! I used lip plumpers all the time. i'm not sure if I will use this or not - I may give it a try!

BellaPierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush in "Autumn Glow" ~ full size 4g for $20.00. These creamy, non-comedogenic Mineral Blushes give you a beautiful, healthy flush that looks natural. Recommended by make-up artists and dermatologists, these award-winning blushes are talc free, paraben free, and suitable for all skin types and conditions.

This actually appears to be 6g which is bigger than the full size?! Weird! I'm not sure that this is the right shade for me? It is sort of in between bronzer, blush and highlighter - I will probably give it a try.

September 2016 - Ipsy Glambag Review and Unboxing!

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Nail Polish in "Va Voom" ~ full size $6.00. These nail polishes are the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe. One-swipe-wonder. A single coat is all you need. Intense finish that can’t help but throw shade. Knows how to stay put. Long-lasting formula won’t chip easily.

The shade Va Voom is described as "deep purple" - it looks quite Navy to me. I feel like I have gotten a similar shade from Ipsy recently. I generally love nail polish, but I'm not sure about this one. It does look good for Fall though - I might give a try.

Eau Thermale Avène Hydrance Optimale Hydrating Serum ~ sample size 5 ml for $6.33 (full size is 30 ml for $38.00). A unique serum enriched with a high concentration of soothing and calming Avène Thermal Spring Water provides the skin with a boost of continuous hydration for 24 hours. Use this serum as a first step to enhance the effectiveness of any skin care regimen.

I have tried the mask from this brand before and I liked it. I love serums and use them twice a day so I am happy to try this!

Buff Her House of Exfoliation - Vanilla Almond Crumbles ~ sample size 0.9 oz for $6.92 (full size is 3.25 oz for $25.00). The crumbs are our favorite part. This foaming, cleansing and exfoliating scrub lifts away impurities and sends dead skin on its way. Infused with high-quality granules of sugar and rice that polish to perfection. Leaves skin smooth, supple and radiant. Delicious light almond scent has us hooked.

I have never heard of this brand before, but going through their website, their line of scrubs is the cutest! I love that this is a rice and sugar based scrub - I'm excited to try this!

Ipsy came with 5 products - (3 full sized), and a total value of $56.25. This is a pretty average value for an Ipsy bag, which is a good value! I'm a bit bummed, I feel like this is a very months in a row that I am not thrilled with the contents - I like the scrub and the serum, but I'm not sure about the colours of the nail polish or blush and just don't think I will use a lip plumper any more. I have loved my Ipsy bags in the past, so I am hoping soon I will get some better matches.
