June 2016 - Monthly Favourites!

I'm rounding up my Top 5 Favourites for June!

June 2016 - Monthly Favourites!

Carli Bybel - 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette ~ $14.50. Beauty expert and YouTube sensation Carli Bybel designed this versatile 14 Color Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette to dial up the drama and add excitement to your look. Carli's taste for chic refinement and modern elegance inspired her to select a collection of earthy neutrals and plummy brown shadows with four face highlighters that complement every skin tone. The mix of mattes and shimmers makes it easy to go from amped-up evening intensity to toned-down daytime options.

The real question I have hear is how have I not included this in my favorites yet?! And, I think the answer is that it has actually been my consistent go-to that I forgot to feature it (does that make sense?!) I posted a full review on the palette here and just love that the shades are all gorgeous neutrals and can be used alone or with brighter colours for tons of looks! I also love the highlighters!

Lumiere Lippie Stix ~ $5.00. A dusty mauve pink in a matte finish created by the lovely @KathleenLights - "I wanted a color that both bold and shy people could wear. It's not a nude..it would look great on EVERYONE!"

Okay, so the lighting and my background are making this look redder than it normally is, but is an absolute gorgeous dusty rose shade - I posted a haul with swatches here for a true look at the colour! The lippie formula smells so good and is nice and soft on the lips - it is a matte shade but is not drying at all. Seriously, probably my perfect lip product!

Maybelline Lasting Drama by EyeStudio Gel Eyeliner in "Blackest Black" ~ $11.99. Oil-free formula holds highly concentrated pigments in a clear gel base. Smudge-proof and waterproof for 24 hours. Most intense line for lasting drama. Safe for sensitive eyes and ophthalmologist-tested. Contact lens safe.

This product was a big surprise for me as I was not sure I was going to like the potted gel eyeliner formula. I have always been a liquid eyeliner person, just used it forever and loved the formula. Anyways, I didn't know if I would like the brush/gel formula but Wow - this eyeliner is so awesome! It goes on so smooth and looks so bold and doesn't budge!! It has taken me a little practice, but this is the best for a wing and I am so happy I decided to try it!

Mac Prep + Prime Fix + ~ $30.00 CAN. A lightweight water mist that gently soothes and refreshes skin and finishes makeup.

This is also just referred to as Fix+ and a lot of people really rave about this product - I grabbed this on a whim after wanting to try it out for a long time! I am so happy I tried it out and it works so well! I love this - I apply it to my brushes before apply makeup, I apply it after, I use it for everything!

Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo ~ $3.98. Refresh your look and experience lightweight clean hair, even on days you don't wash with new dry shampoo. The natural tapioca formula absorbs excess oil, transforming lifeless, oily hair into fresh hair with the crisp essence of citrus and mint. Refresh your look and experience lightweight clean hair, even on days you don't wash. Natural Tapioca instantly absorbs excess oil.

I'm surprised that this is not well reviewed at all - I love this! Seriously, it is a big can for $4 - it leaves NO white cast at all and makes hair feel really good without being crunchy or anything. I'm so happy with this!

I'm surprised how much make-up I have this month (I usually focus on skincare so much!) What have you guys been loving for June?

  2. Maybelline Master Drama Gel is featured on almost every drugstore must have list, and I have yet to try it! LOL. One day! Obiously you liked it too :D I like that dry spray, but after buying it three times and having it clog on me after only a few uses, I gave up. Such a bummer.

Oh-no, that's a bummer about the Dry Shampoo - I hope that doesn't happen to mine!
