November 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag - Beauty Subscription Review and Unboxing

Ipsy is one of the inexpensive beauty bag sample subscriptions. You receive 4-5 deluxe sample size or full size products each month. The cost is $10 US (+ $4.95 shipping to Canada).

Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skin, nail, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month (I really like to keep it a surprise so I don't check ahead of time!) You also receive a make-up bag with your products.

Here is a look at the November 2014 Ipsy Bag:

This month's theme is "Girl Meets Glitter" and the make-up bag it came in is awesome!

Here is a look at the products inside:

Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil in "Pixie Dust" ~ $10.00 for 0.29 oz full size roll on. The truth is, at Demeter we do not know what Pixie Dust smells like – but we know what it SHOULD smell like: fruity, sugary and light as the air itself. And that describes our Pixie Dust perfectly. I love sweet smelling perfumes and this is awesome - nice and light smelling. I do not normally like receiving scents but this one is good!

Temptu S/B Highlighter in "Pink Pearl" ~ sample size 3 ml for $2.75 (full size is 30 ml for $27.50). A cult favorite of makeup artists around the globe, TEMPTU S/B Highlighter is the perfect product that goes on sheer for an overall illuminating and contouring effect. Light-reflecting and transfer resistant, S/B Highlighter glides on effortlessly for a brilliant complexion boost that contours to highlight your best features.
I guess this is technically a small sample size - I'm quite happy with the size. You need so little highlighter per application that this is great! This is a liquid highlighter and I am used to using a powder/mousse, but I can get used to this! It has a sheer pink finish with a hint of glimmer! This looked great as a highlighter for my cheeks - I am happy with this product!

Nicole by OPI in "Guys and Galaxies" ~ full size $5.97. The best part of this product is that this color is exclusive to Ipsy subscribers! (I love being one of a few to have something - even if is only nail polish!). And I loooove glitter nail polish - I often use it for an accent nail or on my toes. I swatched it on the box so you can see the glitter level - I can't wait to use this for a Manicure Monday!

L.A. Colors Chunky Lip Pencil in "Wine" ~ full size $3.50. The L.A. Colors Chunky Lip Pencil has a soft, creamy formula that glides on smooth and moisturizes delicate lips while delivering gorgeous intense color. The perfect combination of a lipstick and lipgloss in a convenient retractable pencil- just twist and apply!
I'm not a bold lip color person at all so when I saw this I was going to immediately throw it in my giveaway pile without even bothering to try it on; however, when I saw the price I realized it was worth a try even if it didn't look great:

I was happily surprised with the color - and actually this was super soft. It was like putting on your favorite lip balm with a punch of color! Now I need to find somewhere to wear this to!

Elizabeth Mott you're so FINE eyeliner in "Glitterati" ~ full size $17.99. It’s not just any liquid eyeliner. With you’re so FINE’s micro-tipped brush, you can control your strokes to create dramatic, and sharp cat eyes! This brush is so control friendly that creating precise, symmetrical lines is ridiculously easy, so it’s perfect for first time liquid eyeliner users too. The specialized, quick drying formula has intense, inky pigmentation that’s waterproof, meaning it lasts all day without smudging. Just in time for the holidays, the super flirty Glitterati formula will make you the center of attention. All eyes on you, gorgeous!
At first I thought that I had too many liquid eyeliners; however, this one is glittery so it is different! Here is what it looks like:

I have been getting used to using felt tipped liquid eyeliners for quite some time, so I had to go back to using the brush - I love this formula and it had just the right amount of shimmer for me! And I love that it is waterproof!

Ipsy was a big win for me this month - I received 5 products (4 full sized!) with a total value of $40.21. I received quite a few makeup products (all that I am very pleased with!) and I love the nail polish and perfume. Even the little bag it came in was spot on and all went with their theme of "Girl Meets Glitter". I will use every product from this month!!
